Greetings, Mariner Families!

This is our last week before a much-needed spring break. The students are ready to relax and take a break from school. Friday will be a minimum day assembly schedule so we can send our students off on a positive note.

Our counselor, Ms. Edrey Ledezma, will be moving to Alternative Education after the spring break. We thank Ms. Ledezma for her 10 years of service to the students of Mar Vista High School and wish her the best as she takes on a new adventure. If Ms. Ledezma is your child’s counselor, please look for messages from the counseling center about her replacement.

Wednesday night the district will honor the Teachers of the Year and announce the District Teachers of the Year. Ms. Welch-Doyle, we are cheering for you!!

I would like to wish everyone a safe and wonderful spring break. We will see all students back on April 7th.

Emails will only be accepted to excuse absences if they are sent from a parent or guardian’s email address on file in infinite campus.

Scholarship of the Week!!!

SWC Scholarships are awarded for excellence in academics, extra-curricular activity, and service to the community. Scholarship recipients are able to continue their academic studies at a trade school, community college, 4-year college, or university of their choice.

Graduating high school seniors in the public high schools of the Sweetwater Union High School District may obtain a 2024 SWC Scholarship Application as follows:
