Falcon Flyer for Families!
April 14-April 18, 2025
Hello Falcon Families!
We are excited about the week ahead! So many events and so little time, but at least Spring Break is in a five more days!
This week, students should focus on doing their best for MAP testing. The Spring MAP test will let us know how much the student has grown through the year in English and Math. The 8th grade will start with MAP Math testing Monday since they leave for their 8th grade trip on Wednesday. Tuesday, all grades will test Reading. Wednesday will be a make up test day, and then Thursday, 6th and 7th grade will test Reading. Please make sure that your child gets plenty of rest the night before, eats a good breakfast, and arrives to school with a positive mindset. We will make to encourage the students, as well!
Several activities are scheduled for this week. Track will have the district track meet to finish the season. In addition, Sullivan Arts Department will host "Night of the Arts." Come out and support our Falcons as they show their talents!
For the annual 8th grade field trip to DC, we will leave bright and early on Wednesday so please make sure to arrive as scheduled. We will return on Friday at 10 pm. All district and school rules/expectations apply while on the field trip. I am sure it will be a great adventure!
Continue to do your best this week! We are proud of you, and we look forward to discussing all that you accomplished this year. Have a great week, and enjoy your break!
Sincerely,
Dr. Persinski

Night of the Arts!
Student Restrooms
Parents,
Our custudial staff works extremely hard to keep restrooms and the school clean. Unfortunately, in the last week, our staff have had to clean restrooms multiple times due to vandalism and destruction. Some examples include flooded sinks, entire soap dispensers emptied onto the floor, and items thrown on the wall. In order to curb these acts and ensure sanitary conditions, all grade levels will have monitored restroom breaks throughout the day. Students, of course, will be provided access to a restroom should they have an emergency. Physician directives can be sent to Nurse Bailey.
We will encourage ownership and respect of our building, and we ask you to encourage your student to do the same. In addition, please encourage your student to report any damage or vandalism should they see it.
Thank you!

Falcons SOAR!
As Falcons, we don't want to just "meet the requirement" as student-athletes. We want to raise the bar! Coming soon will be new guidelines for all student-athletes, no matter the sport. Our Falcons will SOAR, and they will show their Falcon Pride through their academic excellence and sportsmanship.
S-Sportsmanship
O-Ownership
A-Academics and Attendance
R-Represent as Role Models
Falcons will be required to hold at least a C in classes; Bs and As are preferred. Should a student drop below a C in any class, then tutoring will be required instead of practice. Students will not be penalized for attending tutoring. Students are expected to attend school and meet attendance requirements, and they should show exemplary behavior in class.
Academics, attendance and behavior will be checked weekly.
As Falcons, we believe that Academics comes first, and student-athletes are role models for all. Falcons represent Sullivan as proud, outstanding student-athletes who will be ready to meet the next level of expectations in high school and beyond.
