Principal Priorities
Conference Thank You!
I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents who took the time to attend parent-teacher conferences. Your presence and participation are greatly appreciated and demonstrate your commitment to your child's education. At Jefferson we firmly believe that strong school-to-home connections are crucial for the success of our students, and your involvement plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment.
If you could not attend conferences, please don't hesitate to email your child's teacher to set up a time to talk via phone or Google Meet. We value your input and look forward to discussing your child's progress.
Thank you for your continued partnership and dedication to your child's academic journey. We appreciate all of your ongoing support. I hope you can take some time to enjoy the great weather this weekend with your family. Thank you for everything you do to support your child and Jefferson Elementary.
Mr. Schmidt
Smartwatches
We'd like to remind you of our school policy regarding smartwatches. Smartwatches are allowed in watch mode only during school hours. We have observed that smartwatches can be a distraction in the classroom environment, and we believe that it is important for students to focus on their learning without any unnecessary interruptions.
We assure you that students always have the option to use the school office phone to call home if needed, and parents are asked to call the office, and we will promptly deliver any messages to your child. We kindly request that parents refrain from texting their children during the school day.
If the smartwatch continues to be used in violation of our policy, we will kindly ask students to keep their smartwatch in their bookbags during school hours to ensure a focused and productive learning environment for all students.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a positive and focused learning environment for all students.
Pop-ice on the Playground! 2nd Grade TONIGHT!
2nd Grade - Friday, October 4th 6:00- 7:00
The Jefferson Elementary community is an awesome place to grow and learn. We know your child has most likely come home talking about their friends. We would like to invite our primary students and their families(siblings welcome) to meet and play on the playground and have a Pop-ice courtesy of the PTO! This is an informal opportunity to meet and socialize with other families. Mr. Schmidt will be on the playground as well. Please note that this is a family event, and staff members will not necessarily be present.

"Dot Day" Art Works
In celebration of International Dot Day, Jefferson artists explored their creativity after reading The Dot, a book by Peter H. Reynolds about self-expression and the power of making your mark. Each artwork displayed began with a single "dot," just like in a story.
Our Jefferson Artists brought their unique "dots" to life while meeting the learning objectives specific to their grade level. These artworks celebrate courage, creativity, and the possibilities that come from the act of trying.
