Band Buzz: August 25, 2024

Thank you everybody for coming out on Friday for band demo and family BBQ. The kids looked and sounded great. A special thank you goes to the volunteers who helped with setup, serving, dessert donations, and clean up.

Friday is the first football game and we will need volunteers to assist throughout the afternoon and evening. Please consider volunteering! We can't do it without all of our parent volunteers.

CLHS Band and Color Guard Families,

Our first Football Game is this Friday! Students will need to be in their heat uniform, which includes the blue cap, gray game shirt, blue shorts, black marching band shoes and low-cut black socks for both the Pep Rally and Game. We will rehearse at 3:00, then game meals will be served, and then we will need to be ready to load buses and depart by 5:00. Please see the normal Friday Night Game Day Schedule below.

Parents, please make sure your children are picked up by 30 minutes after we arrive back at school. This time is determined by the length of the game, which is dependent on the game clock, but we usually arrive back at school around 10:30 p.m. for home games. Please do not park right outside the band hall doors, as that is a loading/unloading area for our semi tractor and trailer.

Students, after the game is over, please contact your parents as soon as the buses start rolling that you need to be picked up in about 30 minutes.

Band Fees are due on September 6th. Payments can be made through your student's Skyward account.

Please Note: Only bus chaperones will be allowed to enter the stadium for free. All other volunteers will need to purchase a ticket.

CCISD is a NO CASH district for athletic ticket sales. Tickets must be purchased online through GOFAN only.

Senior (Age 60+) Gold Card

The Clear Creek ISD Senior Gold Card is available to residents of Clear Creek ISD who are age 60 and older and all retired Clear Creek ISD employees. The Gold Card offers our senior friends free admission to all CCISD home athletic events and most fine arts student performances including plays, concerts and choir performances.

Clear Bag Policy Enforced

All CCISD Stadiums strictly enforce a Clear Bag Policy. This means no large bags or backpacks will be allowed to be brought through the gates into the stadium. Please leave all purses or bags securely locked in your vehicle or you will be turned away at the gate. No exceptions will be made.

Please look for a separate email from the lead Chaperone Sherry Curran each week for volunteering for the football games and contests opportunities to help with our fabulous Band and Color Guard.

Be on the lookout for info and volunteer opportunities for the US Bands Contest. Clear Lake High School is hosting and will need a lot of help throughout the day to make sure things run smoothly.
