Dear Alta Mesa Families,

Welcome back! I hope your February Break was relaxing and rejuvenating. We are excited to welcome students back tomorrow, Monday, February 26th.

It's an exciting week to come back to Alta Mesa as we have a lot of great things happening. We are hosting the inaugural "River Rumble 4/5 Basketball Tournament." This tournament will take place on Friday and Saturday. The boys will be playing here at Alta Mesa and the girls will be playing at Shasta Meadows. We also have two regular season 4/5 games this week. On Tuesday our teams travel to Boulder Creek and on Thursday we will be at home against Rother.

Our Ski and Snowboard Club is headed to Mtn. Shasta on Tuesday. Their itinerary is below. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Randolph.

The Alta Mesa Booster Club is holding it's annual Cookie Dough Fundraiser. Information will be sent home to parents. This is one of our Booster Club's biggest fundraisers of the year. Please see the video below for more information on how to participate.

Congratulations to Maria Correa on Being EESD's Employee of the Year for Custodial and Maintenance. Maria is a pivotal part of our Alta Mesa Family. She loves this school and works extremely hard to make sure that students have a clean and safe environment to learn in. She works behind the scenes and is here long after students leave. Her impact, however, is experienced by students on a daily basis. The classrooms she works in are spotless. Maria is one of the best custodians this school or district has ever had. Thank you Maria, we love you!

Our cookie dough fundraiser starts this week. Prizes for students who sell certain amounts of product are available. Information packets are going home with students this week. The fundraiser will run from February 26 until March 11th.

Ski and Snowboard Club will be heading to the mountain this week! All students must be driven to the mountain, transportation is not provided (we are NOT meeting at school). Please arrive at Mt. Shasta by 8:30 and meet Mrs. Randolph at the patio of the ski area at 8:45.

Alta Mesa will be hosting a 4/5 boys and girls basketball tournament on March 1st and 2nd. All boy's games will be hosted at Alta Mesa School (2301 Saturn Skyway) and the girl's games will be at Shasta Meadow (2825 Yana Ave.). There is a $5 entry fee on both days for all spectators 12 years old and up.

Your students have been working hard all trimester so we want to celebrate all their achievements! Teachers will reach out to parents/guardians of students who are being recognized.

Spring pictures will be taken on Wednesday, March 13th. Please note that ALL students will get their picture taken and will come home with an access code for parents/guardians to view online prior to purchasing. One of the big benefits of ordering online is parents/guardians are able to edit and choose different backgrounds.

It's already that time of year again - New Student Registration Time!

We are currently in our open enrollment period. We are enrolling students both in the district and out of the district. You can begin the enrollment process by clicking HERE.

**REMEMBER** You do not have to re-register your child if he/she is already an Alta Mesa student.

The 2024-2025 ACE enrollment is open. Please log in to your Parent Portal and fill out ACE enrollment forms for the 2024-2025 school year. If you need help accessing your Parent Portal, please reach out to our office staff 530-224-4130.

Yearbooks are on sale starting Monday, January 22nd. This year the yearbooks will be purchased from the school, not online. If you would like to purchase a yearbook, please bring cash or a check (made payable to Alta Mesa School) to the office. Please see the flyer below for more information.
