Grades 1 to 6 Interim Reports: Progress report cards were sent home electronically on Wednesday, October 2 from registrar@selwyn.ca. If you did not receive your son’s report card by email, please contact Kelli Poulin at poulink@selwyn.ca.

If an appointment was requested, students in grades 2 through 6 need to be present. Boys should wear their uniform.
Friday, October 11 ~ Half Day ~ Dismissal Information: Friday, October 11 is a half-day. Dismissal (regular dismissal protocol) will take place as follows: Grade 3 at 11:15; Kindergarten and Grade 4 at 11:20; Grades 1 and 5 at 11:25; and Grades 2 and 6 at 11:30. No lunch will be served.
Elementary School Play: The information meeting for grade 4-6 actors in this year's Elementary School play will take place on Monday, October 7, in the Rossy Agora. Grade 4 will meet at 11:30. Grades 5 and 6 will meet at 12:00. The play will be announced and the actors will be given a choice of monologues and songs to prepare for the audition. They will be required to videotape and submit their audition. The deadline to submit audition videos will be Friday, October 18. The play will take place on Friday May 2nd, 2025. Club de robotique: Les garçons auront la chance d'acquérir une expérience pratique des composants de la robotique LEGO. Ils construiront d'abord leurs propres robots, puis apprendront à les programmer pour qu'ils exécutent des tâches spécifiques, allant de mouvements de base à des défis plus complexes. Le club mettra l'accent sur les projets collaboratifs, encourageant le travail d'équipe et la créativité. Mid-Term Break Camp - LAST CALL!: We are thrilled to explore the possibility of offering a camp throughout the mid-term break from November 4 to 8! This camp will provide students with an opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, and connect with their peers in a creative and engaging environment. To help us determine the level of interest and finalize our plans, we have attached a brief form for you to fill out. Your responses will help us gauge interest and ensure we tailor the camp to best meet the needs of our students. Please fill out the form here, by October 7th.
Join Us for Homecoming Football & Family Tailgate!: Calling all Selwyn House families, Old Boys, staff, and friends! Come out to the Homecoming Football Games and Alumni & Family Tailgate on Saturday, October 5 at the Westmount Athletic Grounds (WAG). Cheer on the Gryphons at 10:00 AM (Cadet, Grades 8-9) and 1:00 PM (Juvenile, Grades 10,11,12), enjoy food and drinks, try your luck with the 50/50 draw (proceeds supporting the new Gryphon Fund for athletic excellence), and shop the latest merch at the Argyle Shop Pop Up. Don’t miss this fun-filled day of community spirit!
Star Wars Halloween - Pumpkin Carving Activity: Calling all pumpkin carvers, artists, and Star Wars lovers: join the Star Wars Halloween Pumpkin Carving Activity! Students are encouraged to carve a pumpkin with any idea or theme from Star Wars, and students will earn points for their house by contributing a pumpkin. Pumpkins should be brought to school on Oct. 30 and will be displayed in Coristine Hall as we turn the dining hall into a far away galaxy for Halloween on Oct. 31. Think about your ideas and sign up to participate via this Google Form.
