Reminders From Mrs. Nelson
Morning Drop Off & Afternoon Pick Up:
Effective Monday morning, vehicles will not be able to turn left out of our front drive. This will help to eliminate a backlog of cars at Tanglebriar and El Salido.
Walker Pick Up:
We are asking that you do not congregate under the tree, near the car rider benches or on the sidewalks. Effective tomorrow, please wait near the butterfly garden for your walker to come to you. We will have staff outside to assist.
Our staff would love to communicate with you about your student's day, however dismissal is not the appropriate time for this to take place. We invite you to email your child's teacher with any questions or concerns. During afternoon dismissal, our staff needs to give all of their attention to their students and ensure they get home correctly.
Student Item Drop Offs:
Our office staff can collect lunches up until 10:20. We cannot accept late work, school supplies, jackets , water bottles etc. Please know this is simply due to lack of personnel to call for and deliver supplies.
Tardies:
If a student is not in their homeroom by 7:35 they are considered tardy. An adult will need to park and come inside to sign in any late arrivals.
Early Pick Up:
We are not able to call students out of class or assure transportation changes after 2:15. If you need your child for an appointment, please pick up prior to 2:15. If you need to change their mode of transportation, please do so prior to 2:15.
Reusable Water Bottles:
With the hot Texas sun, we highly encourage each student to have a reusable water bottle labeled with their name. We have multiple refills stations throughout our campus.
Lunch with your student:
Unfortunatly due to the growth in our school we can not have parents in the cafeteria for lunch. If you would like to enjoy lunch with your student please know that you are always welcome to have lunch on the benches outside or bring a blanket to sit under a shade tree during their lunch time.
Smart Tag Registration
Parents of bus riders please register for the SMART Tag App
Introducing the SMART tag™ Parent App!
Our mobile app lets you keep track of your student’s bus-riding activity and receive SMART Alerts on the go.
Available for Android and iOS.
App registration begins with the Primary Parent – the parent associated with the student in the school district’s system. The primary parent must complete their app registration and confirm their student before any co-parent can register for them.
Co-parents who wish to register for a student must submit a request to the primary parent within the app. In cases where there’s no response from the primary parent, the school district can review and approve.
