Fall Festival/Halloween Parade Information
On Thursday, October 31st, students are welcome to wear an appropriate costume to school for the annual Fall Festival and Halloween Parade, (expectations regarding costumes will be sent home soon). The parade will take place at 2:00 p.m., and parents/friends are welcome to gather outdoors behind the school building to view the children's parade. The students will process from the back of the building, across the recess blacktop area, and back into the building. Parents/guests will not be permitted into the building unless of inclement weather. If that is the case, parents will enter the building through the back doors and line up in the gymnasium. After the parade, the children will participate in themed activities within their classroom. Treats will be available through the school, and a list of ingredients will be sent home prior to the event.
Fill the Bus Campaign Continues
Across the Nordonia Hills City School District, students, staff and parents continue to contribute to the annual "Fill the Bus" campaign. Each year, local communities spend a significant amount of time and energy in collecting non-expired, non-perishable foods in support of the Emergency Assistance Center. Canned goods, cereal, and other household staples are in great demand for local families who are food insecure. Take a look at the link below for the official flyer and detailed information. Food collection bins are located throughout the area, with one bin assigned specifically to our school building. Please donate what you can before the deadline of Friday, October 25th.

CAVs Night "Save the Date"
Northfield Elementary School students and families should mark their calendars for Thursday, January 9, 2025. At this basketball game, Northfield students will be featured as special guests to our hometown basketball team. Tickets have been arranged at two pricing levels so that our school community can sit together in one of two areas at Rocket Mortgage Field House. Individual tickets are either $36 for upper bowl seating, or $68 for lower bowl seating. There will be a random drawing for (25) students to participate in the cheer tunnel prior to the start of the game. Ordering information comes later this month.

- Passion First: The NF community continues to build on the theme Passion First for the month of October. In fact, there will be an opportunity on Friday, October 25th for students and staff to dress in outfits that characterize their passions. Also, a parent newsletter link is located below for your enjoyment.
- Wish List: It was recently shared with me that some families would like to donate items to the school directly, rather than participate in any additional fundraisers. As such, the school will be preparing a generic wish list that will be shared in a future newsletter. Thanks for the support.
