Memo to Parents: Reminder on Dismissal Procedures
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the new quarter, we would like to remind everyone about the importance of following our dismissal procedures to ensure the safety and security of all students.
It is essential to have your car tag clearly displayed in the window during dismissal. With new staff members taking over dismissal duties, having the tag visible at all times will help us quickly and safely release students to their appropriate vehicles. The staff at the cones will verify your car tag before releasing your student. For this reason, please keep the tag in a secure location in your car to avoid delays.
We understand that some car tags may be fading, but handwritten tags will not be accepted. If you need a new car tag, please contact the office, and we will provide one. Any vehicles without a tag will be required to pull over, and the driver will need to come into the office to sign their student out.
This procedure is in place for the safety and security of our students, and we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Character Strong
Our District-Wide Social-Emotional program, Character Strong, is an evidence-based, multi-tiered solution designed to support whole child success. Integrated into morning meeting lessons, Character Strong helps build a sense of community while developing essential life skills.
The aim of education is to prepare young people for success in all areas of life, including academic growth, college and career readiness, and overall life satisfaction. To achieve these goals, Character Strong focuses on three foundational outcomes:
A Sense of Belonging: Fostering an environment where every student feels valued and connected.
Improved Well-Being: Enhancing students' emotional health and resilience.
Increased Engagement: Encouraging active participation and investment in their learning and growth. By addressing these key areas, Character Strong helps lay the groundwork for students' long-term success and fulfillment.
October Character Focus: Responsibility
October 14-18th Recap
Friday Assembly
Friday assemblies in the gym are an exciting way for students to kick off their day. The assembly is all about getting pumped up and celebrating the great things that happened throughout the week. Mrs. Small leads the event by reviewing the highlights she observed, announcing birthdays, recognizing positive office referrals, and awarding winners for the Mable Woolsey Way Ticket drawing. Students also get to show their school spirit by clapping along to the school song together.
Student Council Leaders
Blue Bullet Pride!
Hearing the student body clap along with our school song and proudly spell out B-U-L-L-E-T-S every Friday never gets old! It’s a moment filled with Blue Bullet Pride, and we love seeing how excited and involved the students get. Their energy and enthusiasm truly show the spirit of our school, and it's something we look forward to each week!
Positive Office Referrals
This week, two students were nominated by their teachers for a positive office referral for showing outstanding character and responsibility. Their hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to help others have truly stood out. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and commitment to making our school a better place. Way to go! Keep up the great work!

Happy Birthday!
Each week, students with birthdays are celebrated during our Friday Assembly. Those with birthdays get a special shout-out and are invited to pick out a birthday pencil. It’s a fun way to recognize their special day and add a little extra joy to their week. Happy birthday to our students this week!
October Spirit Days
Looking Ahead....
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be scheduled during the week of October 21-25th. Please be on the lookout soon for information about scheduling from your child's teacher!
Halloween Reminders
Halloween is a regular student attendance/dismissal day. Students can bring costumes to school and change into costumes here at school before the parade at 2:00. Students should not wear costumes to school for the whole day. *This is different for pre-k so please contact your child's pre-k teacher for this information!*. Please be sure to carefully label your child's costume as there may be duplicates. If you do not have a costume, please reach out to your child's teacher. We do have extra costumes here at school.
Costumes must be school appropriate. Toy weapons are not allowed, and excessive blood and gore is not appropriate at the elementary level. Masks will be allowed during the parade/parties as long as they meet the above criteria. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's costume please check with your child's classroom teacher. Classroom teachers will communicate with families about donation sign-ups.
We will have the parade in the gym with just the teachers and students. Parents/Guardians can view photos or videos from the parade/parties at a later time. More details will be coming out soon.
