Hello CBA Elementary Families,
This week was Out of This World! 4th and 5th grades kicked it off with a visit to the West Chester University Mather Planetarium. Here, students explored our vast galaxy, identifying constellations, planets, and more that make up our solar system!
Health Screenings have been completed for Kindergarten through 5th-grade students. A report with your child’s results have been be provided for your review. We encourage you to keep this record and/or share it with your physician. Referral letters will be sent when vision or hearing results do not meet the standard range of normal. Please feel free to contact the WCASD school nurse at 484-266-1306 with any questions.
LifeTouch pictures are here! Your student's pictures or proofs were sent home on Thursday or Friday. Please be sure to check backpacks for their adorable smiles. It's not too late to order pictures! Use the Picture ID on the proofs to view and purchase photos.
On Thursday morning, we welcomed the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce onto campus for Coffee, Connection & Creativity. At this networking event for local West Chester businesspeople, our 4th & 5th-grade students wowed our visitors with their innovative projects and productivity and business tips. Attendees were treated to coffee from Cafe Gourmino and pastries from Yori's Bakery.
Kindergarten students have been busy giving back to the community! They collected candy, toiletries, and self-care items, which they delivered to Stockings for Soldiers. We are so proud of their generosity and the spirit of service they’ve shown in supporting our troops. Students donated 160 pounds of candy, 10 more pounds than last year!
Fall Clubs have come to an end (please double-check specific club end dates in the case of make-ups). We appreciate your participation and hope that your students enjoyed their clubs while learning a new skill! Coming soon: Winter Clubs begin 12/2. The clubs and enrichment packet can be found below.
5th Grade closed out their week with their annual trip to the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, where students participated in a glassblowing demonstration. Prior to their trip, students submitted their original artwork to the glassblowing artist. The artist will select one of their pieces and bring it to life in the glassblowing studio!
Thank you for a wonderful week, CBA!
