Principal's Pick
Dear GRDC families,
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of another school year! As we head into summer break, I just want to take a moment to share how proud we are of everything our students have accomplished. From the first day of school to the very last, they’ve shown growth, resilience, curiosity, and heart.
This year has been full of great memories—school spirit days, field trips, classroom projects, performances, competitions, and so much more. Our students took on challenges, tried new things, and continued to show us just how amazing they are. They’ve made us all smile, laugh, and cheer—and we couldn’t be prouder.
To our 8th grade students—what a journey it’s been! We’ve loved watching you grow into strong, capable, and kind young people. High school is waiting for you, and we know you’ll take everything you’ve learned here and do great things. Don’t forget, you’ll always be part of the GRDC family!
To all our families—thank you. Thank you for your support, encouragement, and trust. We are lucky to have such a caring, connected community.
Wishing everyone a summer full of fun, rest, and time with loved ones. We hope you enjoy every minute—and we can’t wait to welcome you back in August for another great year together!

A huge shout-out to our incredible PTO board for everything they’ve done for our students, staff, and school community. This dedicated group of women has gone above and beyond, pouring time, energy, and heart into making our school a better place. Their impact is lasting, and their legacy will be felt for years to come. Thank you all for your hard work, persistence, and generous hearts.
Nadera Shoman-Ataya has served as our PTO President for the past two years and has been a dedicated member for many more. Her thoughtful, creative leadership has brought so much to our campus, and I’m truly proud to have worked alongside her. Fi Davis—our beloved garden magician—will be moving on as her daughter heads to high school. Her passion and presence will be deeply missed.
We also want to recognize Irina Mora, Heather Loehr, Shannon Culler, Vicki Norman, and Michelle Favro-Farruggia for their tireless dedication and countless contributions. Each of these women has played a vital role in supporting our students and staff in meaningful ways.
A special thank you as well to Tamara Bish and Niki Roman for their continued support and long-standing commitment to our school community. It’s people like this who make our school truly special.
