A Note from Our Principal, Mrs. Holmes
Welcome back!
I hope you all had an amazing winter break. Your kiddos have been doing some great work, and we are still above the county average on our district assessments. The state report card came out and we are showing TREMENDOUS gains. Here is a snapshot:
Rosebud also won the Literacy and Math leaders award for the state of Georgia and we were recognized by US News and World Report as being in the top 40% of school in the nation!!!
Your kiddos are smart in and outside of the classroom. Our "Rose"botics team took home the highest award (The Championship Award) at the Robotics competition held on December 7th at Grayson High School. So many great things are happening.
I want to send a reminder to parents that they will need to come by and pick up any lost coats. It is going to be freezing this week so make sure you stop and get your children's jackets and coats.
Another update is regarding the field trip for kindergarten - 2nd grade students. The field trip will take place on March 26th. You are able to go online and pay through MyPaymentsPlus. This is the easiest way to pay. I will work with the venue to make sure that Rosebud parents are able to sit in a section close to our kiddos. We learned a lot from the 3rd - 5th grade experience and hope to make some changes to transportation with the lower grades group.
Again, I hope you all had a wonderful break. I am looking forward to doing great things in the second semester.
