Dear Parents and Carers,
I am delighted to report that this week has been another wonderful one at our school, with our pupils continuing their impressive start to the school year. It's heartening to witness their commitment to our school values, and their ability to share their learning with others has been quite evident during their discussions with me and Miss Crowcroft.
One of our primary goals for this academic year is to provide additional support to our children in their learning journey, helping them not only to learn more but also to remember and apply their knowledge effectively.
We are also excited to extend a warm invitation to our Year 1 - 6 parents to join us next Wednesday evening. On this special occasion, you will have the opportunity to meet your child's class teacher, who will provide valuable insights and key information that will assist both you and your child throughout this academic year.
Following the meeting, you will have the chance to view pupil books and materials used in your child's class, gaining a better understanding of their learning environment. Your child's class teacher will also be available to address any immediate questions or concerns you may have.
Each class teacher will repeat the information provided in a second session starting at 4pm – this is aimed at supporting our families who have more than 1 child at the school, or for anyone who is struggling to make the 3:20pm first session.
We hope to see you all there and look forward to a productive and engaging evening.
Kind regards
Mrs Winter

Years 1 to 6 Class Teacher Welcome Afternoon - Wednesday 25th September
SEND Parent Sessions (Appointment Only): For parents of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), we have allocated dedicated sessions from 4:30 PM for individual discussions with the class teacher. This session is by appointment only to ensure we can focus on your child's requirements. Please see your child's class teacher to arrange a convenient time.
No Dogs Allowed
Much as we love them, this is a polite reminder that no dogs are allowed past the school gates. Carrying dogs into the playground is also not allowed. Please also be mindful not to obstruct the school gates with your dog/dogs as some children do not feel comfortable if they have to pass close to strange dogs.
Special Menu for School Dinners - Thursday 26th September
As you will have read in the letter sent out yesterday the DfE have enforced stricter rules around pupils taking leave in term time and irregular attendance in all schools across England. These new rules come in from 19th August 2024 and will affect any time marked as unauthorised absence from September. Please take the time to read the new rules so you are aware of these changes before booking any holidays in school time.
Open Evenings for Current Y6
Competition Time!
Taylor Shaw who provide our school dinners are running this fantastic competition to design a T-Shirt. The winning design across all their schools will be made into T-Shirts for the whole class!
Children have been given the sheets to design and return. Please make sure if you would like to enter that your design is handed back to the teacher/office by Monday 7th October and that they are clearly labelled with the child's name and class at the bottom.
Good Luck!
