Congratulations Boys Weightlifting!
Our Boys Weightlifting team is finishing an amazing season this weekend at the state meet in Lakeland. Our Wildcat lifters won the SAC Conference Championship, District Championship, placed 2nd in the region, and qualified 7 lifters for the state meet! Awesome job Wildcats!
Seniors needing to meet the testing requirement
There are still a few seniors that need to meet the state testing requirements to receive a diploma. It is imperative that you are attending the bootcamps and registering for upcoming testing opportunities. Students not meeting these requirements will receive a certificate of completion and not a high school diploma. See testing opportunities below.
Prom and Prom Ticket Sales
This year's prom will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Innisbrook Resort, 36750 US Highway 19, Palm Harbor, FL 34684. Dinner will be included. Tickets are on sale until Wednesday, April 16. Tickets are available in the myStudent portal. Guest tickets are available for sale in person at lunches. Guest request forms are available in Student Services and must be turned in by Monday, April 14. Students with over 9 unexcused absences third quarter will not be able to purchase tickets. Students may appeal their attendance if they are ineligible. Appeal forms are located in student services.

TESTING INFORMATION
AICE English General Paper 1 & Paper 2 Exam
We will be administering the AICE English General Paper 1 and English General Paper 2 exam on 4/25/25 and 4/29/25, respectively. Rosters have been posted in the 400 building common area. You will be receiving a message via myStudent with testing location details by end of day April 4th.
End of Year State Testing
Our end of year state testing window opens on 5/1/25. Testing detail messages will be sent within the next week to advise of the testing details.
Senior Deadline for Online Course Completion (Pasco eSchool and FLVS)
The completion deadline for all online courses of seniors is May 2, 2025. If all coursework, DBAs, and exams are not completed by this date, seniors may not be able to participate in graduation ceremonies. Please monitor and speak to your students regarding their online classes.
PASCO SCHOOLS BEYOND CAREER FAIR!!! SENIORS!!!
SENIORS! Please join us for our Pasco County BEYOND! Career and Tech Expo on April 15, 2025 at Cypress Creek High School. If you are interested in career programs including apprenticeships, on-the-job training, immediate employment opportunities, internships, and armed forces, we invite you to attend. The day will also include resume writing, career panel discussions, and interview strategies. Transportation and lunch are included and the field trip is at no cost to you! **Note: you will receive a field trip form from Mrs. Faysash when you fill out this form--please return this to Student Services to secure your spot!** Please wear business casual attire. See the attached flyer for more details!
SAT AND AP TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS
Students will an IEP or 504 who wish to test with their accommodations on College Board tests must be approved through College Board. Please fill out the form at the link below and return to Mrs. Faysash in Student Services promptly. If students were previously approved for PSAT, SAT, or AP accommodations, they do not need to reapply. Email with any questions or to confirm current accommodations kfaysash@pasco.k12.fl.us.

USF SAT SUMMER INSTITUTE
An exceptional SAT score can significantly enhance a student's chances of gaining admission to top universities. The USF SAT Summer Institute, available in-person and online at our Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee campuses, offers a comprehensive review course designed to help students achieve their best possible scores.
This program covers essential topics, including math and verbal skills, effective study tips, and practice with typical exam questions. Students will learn proven test-taking strategies, such as tackling different problem types, utilizing the process of elimination, and managing their time. With sample tests to measure progress, participants will sharpen their skills and gain the confidence needed to excel on the SAT and stand out among their peers.

SUMMER DUAL ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) is now accepting applications for Summer 2025 Dual Enrollment (DE) through an easy-to-use online process. If you are eligible (3.0 unweighted GPA and passing PERT scores) and interested in earning college credits while still in high school, please review the steps below carefully.
Steps to Enroll in Summer 2025 Dual Enrollment:
1. Complete the Online Application
New Dual Enrollment students must submit an online application through the PHSC Application Portal.

Once your application is reviewed and approved, PHSC will provide you with a PHSC email address and temporary password. These credentials are required to access the Online Request Form, Orientation, and the Online Readiness course—all of which must be completed before registration.
2. Submit the DE Course Request Planning Worksheet to Your Counselor
- Fill out the DE Course Request Planning Worksheet (attached) and schedule a meeting with your high school counselor.
- This step can be completed alongside Step 1.

3. Submit the Online Request Form
Students and parents must log in to their PHSC account to:

4. Complete Orientation and Online Readiness Courses
- Log in to your Bobcat Portal and click the Canvas link.
- Complete both the Online Orientation and Online Readiness Course before your registration date.
5. Counselor Approval
Your high school counselor will review and approve or deny your course requests by April 11, 2025.
6. Notification of Approval
By April 25, 2025, PHSC will notify students via their PHSC email regarding approval or denial of course requests. Be sure to check your Bobcat Portal regularly.
7. Register for Approved Courses
- Once approved, students must register for courses through the PHSC Student Portal/Banner on their specified date (see chart below).

FLORIDA FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION NOW OPEN (BRIGHT FUTURES)
Seniors, the Florida Financial Aid Application is now open! This application is used to qualify for Bright Futures, the 100% Military Disability Scholarship (parent), and a few others. If you are pursuing Bright Futures, please take ten minutes to fill this out. You do not need to have met all BF requirements to fill out the application--it just gets it on file for you. See Mrs. Faysash with any questions.

NEW BRIGHT FUTURES REQUIREMENTS: CLASS OF 26 (TEST SCORES)
Volunteer Programs Update
All volunteers will be required to complete a Level 2 background screening every 5 years. This background screening will review records in the state of Florida as well as the national FBI database. The cost for this screening is $41.25 and volunteers will be responsible for paying this cost. The District will pay the yearly monitoring fee for each volunteer. You can access the 2024-2025 Volunteer Programs Application on July 1st, 2024. This application will be posted on the Volunteer Programs page of our website at the following link: https://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/hreq/page/volunteer.
We encourage you to complete your volunteer application and background screening early as the average review time is 30 days. Questions regarding the volunteer application and background screening process can be directed to volunteers@pasco.k12.fl.us.
