A payment plan can be set up if needed as ell. Thank you in advance for your help with this. The schoo'sl bill is substantial and needs to be cleared.
A Message For Grade 5 Families
Dear Families,
We are excited to welcome your child to sixth grade at ASFMS this fall! As part of our summer learning expectations, all incoming sixth graders are required to read Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick before the start of the school year.
While there is nothing to turn in, we strongly recommend that students use the provided reading guides to support comprehension and to help prepare for the activities and assignments that will take place once school resumes.
You can find all the details, including the reading guides, on our Summer Reading Webpage. Thank you for your support in helping your child start the year strong!
Warm regards,
Cynthia Ballard

Nurse's News
If your child is sick please reach out to the nurse and let her know. We understand that each illness does not warrant a doctor visit.
If a child has COVID symptoms they will need to be picked up.
(Testing requirements will be provided prior to school).
GI symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea require dismissal and your child must be free of symptoms for at least 24 hours prior to return to school.
A fever is defined as 100.4 degrees or higher and a student must be fever free for 24 hours WITHOUT the use of fever reducing medicines like Tylenol or Ibuprofen in order to return to school.
If your student tests positive-they will need to stay home for at least 5 days from either symptom onset or the test date if they were asymptomatic.
They may return when symptoms have improved and have had no fever for 24 hours (without the use of any medicine)
They will need to wear a well fitting mask when they return through day 10.
Please report all test results to the school nurse.
Teachers have been given a letter to share with you if your child's class has a severe nut allergy and must remain peanut and tree free. Please remember that they may have it in the lunchroom.
