PTO is doing a Spooky Fun Run Fundraiser for Txuj Ci Lower again! Our PE teacher, Mr. Hackett has been training them to get them ready to run 1 mile or more on our field! We've seen them running laps outside, working hard to build up their endurance. Students can ask family and friends to pledge any amount for them to run their mile. We will have two weeks to collect pledges. All the students will run or walk regardless of amount collected. PTO will provide water and a snack for all students. The class with the highest amount raised in grades preK, Kgn, 1 will get a pizza party. The class with the highest amount raised in grades 2, 3, 4 will also win a pizza party, courtesy of PTO. PTO raises money to give back to our classrooms and students through fieldtrip funds, recess equipment, additional projects, and staff appreciation meals. Thank you for sending home the fliers and getting our students excited about it. Last year, we raised $8800. Let's see if we can match that or beat it this year! Go dragons! See the student pledge letter and Flier here! Students will bring a paper pledge letter home on Monday, Oct. 14th. All pledges are due on the day of the run, Oct. 24th. We will send out the schedule next week so parents can come and cheer on their student!

These are the times students will be running in the back field. Each student will have their bib number on their backs. They are almost ready! Parents are welcome to come cheer them on.

Grade 4 runs at 9:55-10-45 with Ms. Pa's class (10:25-10:45)

Grade 3 runs at 10:45-11:35 with Ms. Sofia's class (10:50-11:10)

Grade PreK runs at 11:35-12:25

Grade Kgn runs at 1:20-2:10

Grade 1 runs at 2:10-3:00 with Ms. Pa's class (2:10-2:30) with Ms. Sofia's class (2:35-2:55)

Grade 2 runs at 3:00-3:50

We will host a fun family event, highlighting some fun learning games with math, literacy, and science! We will also have a Flu Shot clinic, along with so much more - learning about Title I, face painting, spooktacular reading with flashlights, fun photo ops, opportunities to collect treats, and light dinner of pizza! Children (and parents) are encouraged to dress up if they'd like! Event will take place from 5:30-7:30pm here at school. See you at our Spooktacular Night on Oct. 24th!
