How do we have only 9 1/2 days left??? !!

We have so much left to do this year. We have one last BIG end of the year math test on next Thursday. Please let me know if your student will nor be here that day so we can give it to them earlier.

Thank you so much for jumping on all the sign up geniuses coming out asking for volunteers. Field Day info hopefully will be in my hands today so I can share that info. I have assigned you a color in your DOJO messages. Thank you to those who have volunteered for the day we so appreciate it and couldn't do it without you.

A few reminders-

• Please send in a chapter book each day. We have closed the class library for inventory and packing up.
• The school library is officially closed and we need ALL checked out material paid for OR returned.

• Yellow folders will be coming home this Monday AND CAN ALL STAY at home. We will send grade papers home daily for the rest of the year.
• Please check DOJO daily as I will send reminders as I get them.

Carpool- All call has been called by 3:30 each day. Please be in line by 3:10 each day. Thank you so much you have been really helping out with this. Students will be taken to emergency afterschool care after the last car is done. They will charge you a $1 a minute so please make sure to be here by 3:20 each day.

PLEASE NOTE CARPOOL WILL BE QUICKER FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR- so many activities and events.

5/27- Memorial Day- NO SCHOOL

5/28- Field Day/ Water Day ( Please see Mrs. Rogers' email)

5/29- Class Awards' ceremony- Mrs. Harman and Myself will be handing out Superlative awards for the students.

5/30- Class EOY Party 1:15-2:15pm

5/31- Last Day of School- 11:40 Dismissal (PLEASE SEND IN A TOWEL, FLASHLIGHT AND CHAPTER BOOK)

5/31- Class Book Swap- Please see handout sent out last week.

Creative Core this week will be :

Mon (5/20) and Tues (5/21) - STEM

Wed 5/22) thru Fri (5/24)- PE TWO

• Lunch will be in the cafeteria. ICE CREAM WILL BE PURCHASED on Monday
• Please also note if you are eating with your student on our classroom week we ask that you take your student outside to the tables to eat.

Reading- We will be discussing inferencing using different books. We will be looking for ways to use clues from the text to figure out what might happen next, figure out why a character did something or will do something.

Math- We will continue reviewing previous skills and take the end of the year assessment on May 23rd.

Science- We will be continuing our animal life cycle unit. Looking at the lifecycle of chicks

Writing- We are working on some memory pieces.

Character- We will be revisiting ALL of our character traits.
