GT Referral and Testing Results are Available for 2022-2023 School Year

2024-2025 Gifted & Talented Referral Opportunity
The Gifted and Talented referral period is open until April 30th for students in Kinder through 11th grade. After the referral period, parents will receive a detailed email with specifics on testing schedule and locations. Testing will be on June 3-4 and parents must bring their child to testing on both dates.
Below are the links to make two required referrals (parent and staff).

Staff referrals can be made by April 30 using THIS LINK.
Parent/guardian referrals can be made by April 30 using THIS LINK.
*June 21: Parents will receive an email notifying them about the final determination of services.
*Students who are already identified as G/T, do not need to be reassessed. If you have any questions contact Tish Cawley at tish.cawley@hayscisd.net or 512-268-2141 x45035.
*Students can only be referred once per calendar year.

Silly Socks Extra Credit Guessing Game!
Having a little fun while studing graphs, formulas, and difficult problems! This stuff can make a kid really think hard...so why not have a good time while learning it! High schoolers still love this stuff!
Mascot for Mr. Hennigan's French Class
Students select a class mascot and name him "Pierre." Learning a foreign language is a fantastic challenge for all!
Economics with Mrs. Zarate
"Locked In" While Solving Challenging Problems In AP Macroeoncomics
Students compete in "Epic Graph" battles for AP Macroeconomics with Mrs. Zarate. Winning teams enter "bag of gags" drawings and losing teams chose a "mission" or "task" to complete for the class.
