By joining these groups, you agree to the following guidelines:

1. Be Respectful: Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Offensive language, hate speech, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated.

2. Singer Parents/Guardians Only: These groups are only open to parents/guardians with currently registered students at MCPS's Flora Singer ES (FSES).

3. Purpose/Topics: The purpose of these groups is to share information directly related to class, school, and extracurricular activities and build a sense of community/connection among class families. Posts should focus on these topics and avoid political or social commentary.

4. Privacy/Confidentiality: Members should not share personal information about other families or students without explicit permission. This includes addresses, phone numbers, photos, and sensitive information about children.

5. Spam/Solicitation: This community should not be used for advertising personal businesses, fundraising (unless school-approved), or spreading chain messages. Please keep conversations relevant to the group’s purpose.

6. No Endorsements: Singer PTA, FSES, and MCPS are not responsible for the statements or opinions expressed in this group.

7. Group Administrators: These groups are administered by volunteer parents/guardians to keep things running smoothly. If someone does not follow these guidelines, the administrators have the right to remove them from the community for violating the rules without notification or appeal.

Join us on Friday mornings at 9:45am in the Staff Lounge for coffee and snacks and to meet other Flora Singer parents and get information about our school.

Ms. Gilzeane reports the health room needs sizes appropriate for Kindergarten-2nd grade. Except for underwear, things do not need to be new. Please wash and donate pants as kids outgrow them! Items can be given directly to the health room. Some items have been added to the school supply list.

Not only have we met our membership goal of $6,500, we have blown past it and raised over $7000 for the PTA. Thank you to everyone who has signed up for their 2024-2025 membership already. We look forward to having more members join soon!

The 2024 Flora Singer Book Fair is coming October 17th through 25th! We need volunteers to help with this wonderful celebration of reading with hundreds of books to discover. Please sign up here using the link below.

Volunteer duties include helping readers complete their wish lists, finding books for kids, working the registers, setting up the fair, organizing inventory, and simply offering a helping hand. The Book Fair is a fun event that students, teachers, and parents greatly enjoy. It takes a lot of volunteers to make sure everything runs smoothly!

Please note that all volunteers at the school must complete the MCPS online training and submit a volunteer form.

Come join us Friday night with our Flora Singer Community at the field next to the Flora Singer playground. Please bring blankets, chairs, picnics, flashlights, and whatever you need to have a great set up to watch the Inside Out 2 movie. Movie will begin after sundown around 6:30 pm.

PTA will have snacks and drinks for sale (cash accepted). There will be an ice cream truck providing frozen treats for purchase. This is not a drop-off event. We ask that no one plays on the playground equipment after dark.
