A Message from Dr. Stabler
Dear AHE Families,
Thank you for sending your students to school on time, each day. They are definitely Respectful, Responsible and Ready to Learn (R3).
Next Thursday, September 12, is our Doughnuts with a Grownup Day for students whose last names begin with A-L and Friday, September 13 for students whose last names begin with M – Z. The event begins at 7:10 am and ends at 7:35 am. We hope to see you there.
Please consider joining our PTA if you have not already done so. While 100% of our staff members have already joined PTA, only 30% of our families have joined. We need your membership! Our PTA membership fees and our only fundraiser, Boosterthon Fun Run fund all the wonderful programs and events that our students and families enjoy each year. Without your PTA membership and support for our only fundraiser, the programs and events would not be possible.
Some of the PTA sponsored programs include Doughnuts with a Grown-up, books for our book vending machine, Sweetheart Dance, Spring Fling, Bingo Night and International Night. New this year, PTA will help fund field trips to help offset some of the cost that parents incur when their student attends a field trip.
Not only is your membership needed, but your help on PTA Committees is also needed. If you are interested in learning about PTA Committee Volunteer opportunities, please email Dawn Rogers at DLRogers1383@gmail.com.
Thank you for your continued support of Abbotts Hill Elementary School.

Donation Request for Staff Appreciation Program
As part of our ongoing effort to show appreciation for our dedicated staff, we are seeking the following donations. These can be dropped off at the front desk or brought to Donuts with a Grownup.
We are requesting the following items:
· Coffee K-Pods (variety of flavors appreciated)
· 12-Pack of Soda or Sparkling Water

Your contributions will help us provide refreshments and treats that our staff will truly appreciate.

Friendly Reminders
Dress Code
Please be reminded of the following information from our Student Handbook:
Students are expected to groom themselves in such a way as to reflect neatness, cleanliness, and good taste. All students shall be modestly groomed so as not to distract the attention of others or to cause disruption or interference with the educational program or the orderly operation of the school. Extremes in dress will not be permitted. The principal or other duly authorized school official shall determine whether any mode of dress or grooming results in violation of the spirit and intent of this rule. If the student is in violation of the rule, then he/she will be sent to the clinic to call for a change of clothes.
Short shorts (like "flutter shorts"), spaghetti straps, crop tops, halter type tops are not allowed. Shorts must be finger-tip length or longer and straps on tops must be at least 2 fingers wide. Additionally, athletic leggings are not allowed unless covered with a shirt or top that is at least finger-tip length. Should a student wear a top longer than the shorts/skirt, the student will be required to tuck the top in.
Thank you for your support with this!
Student Belongings
Please remember to label all belongings with your child's first and last name. We have several items in the lost and found that need to be claimed.
