Please join us at our upcoming PTA membership meeting on Monday night at the cafeteria at 6pm. Homeroom Reps and Veterans will receive special recognition so if you are part of those groups or know someone who is, please join us and/or let them know! Come hear from Principal Strong and our PTA exec board about current happenings at the school and ways to get involved. Light refreshments will be available courtesy of Kumon Avery Ranch.

Membership Drawing

We will also be holding a drawing for all PTA members for a one-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa! If you aren't a member yet, get your membership now. Pro tip: register your family members for more chances to win! The winner will be drawn at the meeting but you must be a member by 11/10 to enter the drawing.

Annual food drive has started and will run until November 15th. The food drive is for the Round Rock serving center. Non perishable food can be dropped off at the school during school hours. There is a large purple collection barrel outside of the office for items to be dropped off.

Mark you calendars to support our Brushy Creek Elementary AND your cats and dogs at the same time, with our Pet Clinic to be held on Tuesday, November 19th at 5-7pm at the front entrance of the school! Discounted pet vaccinations such as rabies, rattlesnake, bordetella and more and flea and heartworm treatments will be offered. Huge thanks to Dr. John Tarlton from Austin Avenue Animal Hospital in Georgetown for offering these services for our dogs and cats and donating a portion of the proceeds to support Brushy Creek Elementary! If you plan to bring 3 or more pets or have any questions about the services offered, please email longhornlana@aol.com.

From November 4th to December 6th donations will be collected for the Brown Santa Project. This is being run by a McNeil HS student for his DECA project. All toys are donated back to the community for those who are unable to purchase gifts for their children.

What to Donate: New children’s toys, stuffed animals, blankets, craft supplies, clothing, and other holiday essentials.
Where to Donate: Find the Brown Santa donation buckets placed in (LOCATION)
Other Ways to Help: Scan the QR code on the donation buckets to make a direct donation or browse Brown Santa's Amazon storefront to purchase items they need.

Parents are always asking how they can help our school. Below is a wish list for our teacher workroom. If you would like to donate any items we would greatly appreciate it.

There are lots of ways parents and family members can get involved at our school! Visit the PTA Volunteering page here and check out what works for you: recess monitoring, cafeteria monitoring, library volunteering, helping your child's teacher as a homeroom representative, making copies in the teacher workroom, and more! If you want to volunteer in a particular area, please make sure to sign up via our Sign-Up Geniuses. This helps the front desk know who to expect on what day. Thank you!

Register to volunteer by completing the volunteer application form. Applicants must use their legal name as it appears on their driver’s license or passport. You MUST have a Social Security Number to complete the online form.

To improve student safety, any person wishing to volunteer in Round Rock ISD is required to complete a Volunteer Application.

• Application must be renewed each school year
• Application should be completed as early as possible
• Application takes approximately five minutes to complete
• You must hit SUBMIT (not just ‘save’) for the application to be processed
• Applications take 72 hours to process
• Once completed, present your photo ID at the campus to be scanned into Raptor
• Check the status of your application by contacting the front office at your child’s campus

Please help us alleviate the amount of items we have in Lost and Found by labeling your child's items such as jackets, sweatshirts, lunchboxes, and water bottles. This will help us immensely!! The Lost and Found has now been moved to the Blue Jay Cafe. Thank you for your help in this matter!

This letter is what we send home at the beginning of the year. It reviews our safety procedures as well as our mandatory safety drill protocols. We wanted to include it in the blast so if your child comes home and says they had a drill this week, you could pull this letter up to refer to.
