REMINDER ABOUT WEARABLES!!!
Parents/Guardians,
I am writing to remind you that our Code of Conduct states that elementary students are not to have "UNAUTHORIZED COMMUNICATION DEVICES". This includes cell phones and wearables (Apple watches or other watches that have two-way communication). Students are not permitted to use these devices at school without express permission from the school principal. If your student needs the device after school, it must be turned OFF, kept in the backpack, and not used during the school day. Please remember that most backpacks hang in the hallways and are often not monitored.
If your child has a problem, we want your child to talk to an adult at school. If a call home is needed, we will allow your child to call home. If your child is sick, it is VERY important to see the nurse and allow her to assess and contact the parent.
Failure to abide by this rule is a Class 2 offense and will result in an office referral and consequence.
Thank you for helping us follow the Code of Conduct and build independence in your child.

HOUSE SHIRTS AND SPIRIT ITEMS ARE ON SALE!
Has your child outgrown his/her HOUSE shirt or have you lost your HOUSE shirt? Do you need some spirit gear so that you can try to earn the HOUSE spirit award this year?
Shirts can be ordered through My School Fees. We will be filling the orders with shirts we have in stock and will then place an order for the rest after sales have ended. The new version of the shirts will include the school name.
Kindergarten students - You will receive a complimentary shirt, so no need to order one unless you want a duplicate.
After September 15th, we will occasionally have HOUSE Spirit items for sale before school.
Which HOUSE is going to win the coveted HOUSE CUP this semester???
We are a 2024 i-Ready Super Stretch School, awarded by our partners at Curriculum Associates, for our i-Ready Diagnostic growth last year! We are honored to receive this accolade and want to thank our staff, students, and families for their hard work last year. Congrats to our entire learning community on our students’ remarkable growth and learning!
This is a HUGE honor that only 6 schools in the entire state of Alabama earned. We had 58% of our students reach their stretch goal last year! The average school typically has 25% who reach their stretch goal. We are very proud of our students, teachers, and families for putting in the hard work to meet this goal.
Volunteers are Needed on September 11th!
Donations are optional, but we strongly encourage you to make a donation. These funds help support our teachers' classrooms and allow them to buy non-curriculum related items, such as class prizes, craft materials, and special snacks.
It is not too late to donate!!!
Have you added anything to the Clothes Bin yet?
You may notice a new addition to our campus. As you enter the drop-off line, you’ll see a bight green bin for clothing recycling. Clothes Bin is helping us raise funds for our school by paying for our recycled clothing. Each pound we collect generates money for the school. They can take any clothing, shoes, bedding or bags, just please do not leave anything outside the bin. Thanks for your support!
