From Doan's Desk....
As we approach Staff Appreciation Week, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for our incredible educators and staff at Monarch.
Our staff go above and beyond every day to inspire, guide, and nurture our students. Their dedication and passion are truly commendable, and they play a vital role in shaping the future of our children.
I encourage you to join me in showing appreciation for our staff next week. Whether it's a kind note, a small gesture, or a word of thanks, your support means the world to them.
Sko Yotes!

Summer is coming up very quickly! I would love for your rising 10/11/12 grade students to know what college course opportunities are available to them through our District Select Program this summer. (District Select means the course is open only to BVSD students).
- Summer - May 10 is the documentation deadline for summer college classes (District Select).
- The District Select courses are listed HERE
- The Personal Finance also takes care of the BVSD money management grad requirement
- The PC Applications course also takes care of the BVSD computer grad requirement
- The Film Lit course is taught in Spanish
- All the courses contribute toward the 9 credits needed to be eligible for the ASCENT Program (year of free college after senior year, at FRCC, MSU, or UNC).
It could be a plan to take one class in the summer, one in the fall, and one in the spring. Classes will run if a minimum of 10 students apply. Please have students contact Dr. Isom at kelly.isom@bvsd.org
