Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope this newsletter finds you all well and settling into the new school year with enthusiasm and energy. It’s been a fantastic second week back at Carleton Park. I would like to say a huge thank you for the warm welcome I have been given by both the children and parents.
I must give a special mention to our new reception starters who had their first week in school. The children have settled in well with the help of brave parents and wonderful year 6 buddies. The reception class already feel part of the school and are enjoying exploring their new learning environment and making friends.
The children have made a fantastic start to their learning this week. We will shortly be sending out newsletters from each Key Stage that will share with you the key learning for this half term and the class focus text.
Thank you for continued support and encouragement.
Reminders:
Uniforms: Please ensure that all children come to school in the correct uniform. It helps us maintain a sense of community and equality.
Healthy Eating: We encourage all parents to pack nutritious snacks and lunches for their children. A balanced diet supports better concentration and learning.
Parent Code of Conduct: As we continue to work together to provide the best possible environment for our children, I would like to take a moment to remind everyone of our Parent Code of Conduct. This code is designed to ensure that our school community remains respectful, supportive, and focused on the well-being of our children.
Our Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for interactions between parents, staff, and pupils, promoting positive communication and respectful behaviour. It helps us maintain a safe and nurturing environment where everyone feels valued. This can be found on our school website.
We kindly ask that all parents and carers review this code and adhere to its guidelines. By doing so, we can collectively foster a collaborative and harmonious atmosphere that benefits our children’s learning and development.
Kind regards
Mrs Winter

Years 1 to 6 Class Teacher Welcome Afternoon - Wednesday 25th September
Parents of pupils in Years 1 - 6 will have the opportunity to meet their child's class teacher on Wednesday 25th September at 3:20 PM to 3:50 PM and 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Two time slots have been planned for to allow parents with children in different classes the opportunity to visit more than one class (teachers will deliver the same presentation twice). This is a valuable time for you to get to know the teacher and classroom expectations. Please collect your child as usual at the end of the school day and then wait on the playground for the event to begin.
SEND Parent Sessions (Appointment Only): For parents of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), we have allocated dedicated sessions from 4:30 PM for individual discussions with the class teacher. This session is by appointment only to ensure we can focus on your child's requirements. Please see your child's class teacher to arrange a convenient time.

These new rules came in from 19th August 2024 and will affect any time marked as unauthorised absence from September.
