ES Assessment Update
ES Available District Assessments List
To assist administrators and teachers in knowing which district assessments are being provided for the 24-25 school year, the ES Available District Assessments List has been placed in the TAARC. The list is organized by grade level and indicates whether a content window is available.
Pear Assessment
Semester 1 Classes Archived
Share the following information with your teachers.
Please be aware that because the S1/Q2 District Final and Midyear Make-up period extends to January 10, the Fall term sections will continue to be displayed on teacher's Dashboards in Pear Assessment as current classes.
Once the District Make-up period ends the classes will become archived and only the S2/Q3/YR sections will be displayed in Pear Assessment.
Beginning December 21, teachers will see their S2/Q3 classes loaded in Pear Assessment.
Teachers creating new tests in Pear Assessment should only assign them to their S2/Q3 sections in Pear Assessment during this transition period.
After January 10, teachers can locate archived classes using the directions found by clicking this link.

End-of-Semester Securly Classroom Archiving
End-of-Semester Securly Classroom Archiving
In order to ensure that only second semester courses are visible in Securly at the beginning of Semester 2, it is recommended that teachers archive their first semester classes at the conclusion of this semester or after they return from Winter Break. To assist with this, we have provided a comprehensive guide. Please refer to this link for detailed instructions.
Grade Book Setups for Semester 2
This is the same process that you completed with me during the BOY Pre-Planning meeting with me in my room.
You need to make sure that you open up each section of your Grade Book to "Inherit" the district grade book settings. Please remind teachers to open Grade Book for each of their class sections before opening the Grade Book Setup screen to verify category % weights.
Opening the Grade Book causes the grade book to inherit the district grade book settings.
Do NOT change or enter your own categories or weights.
Special Area teachers need to make sure that you do this as well for each of your classes.

💻 Digital Changes for 2025 💻
It seems far away, but we are already receiving updates about the 25/26 school year. Here's what you need to know:
- eClass is ending and will be removed as a digital platform for GCPS
- Google Classroom will be the official digital learning platform for GCPS
- all eClass content pages (MOCC, TAARC, etc) will move completely to Sharepoint
- a landing page for all Sharepoint databases will be created for easy navigation
- GCPS Zoom accounts will end
- TEAMS will replace Zoom as the GCPS virtual meeting access point
- Nearpod will be removed as a GCPS resource
All of these changes will take place over the summer of 2025 and be in effect for our next school year. The county is offering D2L to Google Classroom trainings throughout the year. Check out PD&E to sign up. They will have recordings of the meetings for you to view if you are not able to attend the online meeting. D2L to Google Classroom Teacher Training PD&E Courses

A reminder.
This year, we’re awarding $277,000 in scholarships and educational grants to seniors graduating from high school and adults seeking career advancement. We’ll be accepting applications December 2nd-February 28th.
Scholarship applications for graduating high school seniors and professionals seeking career advancement should be submitted online and can be found here along with eligibility criteria: https://www.peachstatefcu.org/scholarships.
Helpful Tips
- Applicants should not apply for more than one scholarship.
- Interested individuals should carefully review the criteria for our scholarships to ensure they are eligible to apply.
- Student scholarships are broken down into three categories: merit-based, needs-based, and students who are pursuing a degree in education. They should select the category that best fits their needs.
- The Career Advancement Scholarships are for adult members of the credit union whose accounts are in good standing.
Please share this information with eligible students/employees and feel free to post the details on your websites and intranets to help spread the word.
