Silk Road
Students in Mrs. Stoffel's Social Studies classes engage in a game to simulate traveling along the Silk Road. Along their route they try to make beneficial trades while taking notes on the new products, cultural practices, and geography they encounter along the way. They combine this source with others to showing understanding of the Silk Road and how it impacted the people and places along it.
Building Wide PBL
On Friday students in all three grades shared out their quarter long projects for a Coffee shop business. Each hallway was judged for the top overall presentation. Winners will present to a group of outside audience members from local businesses and other organizations.
TBPL
The Coffee shop design challenge incorporate tasks of design, Math, Science, Art, Business, Language Arts, and other subject areas as a part of a transdisciplinary learning experience. In this photo you can see an example of a student logo design along with a blue print of a shop floorplan.
