Winter: Before School & Recess Updates
As we navigate the Winter season here are a few updates regarding students arriving before school as well as recess procedures.
Before School:
ALL Students will need to enter through door 2 by the main office/auditorium. Doors open at 7:30 AM but if you arrive a bit earlier, use the main office entrance to have someone let you in. From there students will go to the breezeway. At 7:50 AM students will transition to their lockers and head to class. First period begins at 8:00 AM.
Indoor/Outdoor Recess:
An announcement will be made during 4th period letting all students know if we are indoor, outdoor, or optional for recess each day. Students can also join the Lunchtime Recess Weather Report google classroom, class code available in the cafeteria. This decision is made using the Child Care Weather Watch provided below. As students are going to lunch, they will be reminded by their lockers on the options.
- Indoor: All students will be in the lunchroom and will have the opportunity to bring their iPad.
- Outdoor: All students will be going out for recess with their winter clothing.
- Optional: Students can choose between staying inside or going outside with their winter clothing.
