Parent and Community Engagement at Truitt Middle School
9/13/2014
Look for our newsletter at the end of each week for family resources, support, and information to help your family throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
A WORD FROM OUR PRINCIPAL, DR. WILLIAMS
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for your continued support!
Thank you so much for sharing your children with us! This year, our goal and mission is to decrease absenteeism as much as possible. A major need for our campus is to make sure ALL students are here every day and arrive by 7:30 AM. Attendance is taken at 7:45 AM but for students not to be marked tardy, they need about 15 minutes to get breakfast, and walk to their class. We understand that students may become ill and/or a family emergency may arise. In the event that this happens, please always take the necessary precautions for your student.
We pride ourselves on our rally statement of #RTP Remember The PACK! We want to make sure our students, parents, and community feels welcomed in our school. Our first couple of weeks have gone smooth and we look forward to sharing future experiences with you!

Shoutout to Cypress Falls & Langham Creek High School
I'd like to give a Special shoutout to Cypress Falls' P.A.L.S & Sky Dancers and Langham Creek's Key Club who volunteered to help at our OPEN HOUSE. These students were exceptional leaders who served their community proudly by being extremely respectful, positive, and helpful the entire night.

Car Rider Guidelines
In an effort to ensure student safety, the following procedures are to be followed:
All drivers must refrain from cell phone usage. It is a school zone law.
We must keep the circle part of the pickup area clear for emergencies. Please do not pull into the circle until directed to do so.
All cars must pull all the way forward to the end of the drop off and pick-up zone.
We have limited parking, and it is reserved for our Truitt staff. Please do not park in these spaces.
Please do not drop off or pick-up by the bus ramp.
Please do not drop off or pick-up students on the street. Yorkpoint Dr. is not a drop off point.
As you exit the parking lot make sure you turn right ONLY.
Follow our staff members directions.
We share the car rider line with our Special Education buses, please be patient. They enter on the right side.
Line should only be on Hamstead Park. Not coming in from Addicks Satsuma.
Please be kind. Do not block the driveways and do not skip the line.
We appreciate your assistance with keeping our car riders safe!
