BFH Falcons View
November 25 to 29, 2024
Principal's Message
Dear Falcon students and families,
As we move into the busy last week of November this week, I would like to ask you to continue working with us to ensure that our students are concentrating on the work and tasks within their classes. This upcoming Opportunity Wednesday we would like to invite all of our students to attend at least one of the various academic coaching sessions available to them to solidify their learning moving forward.
This past week saw Bev Facey tackle anti-bullying week with a few events including an odd socks day, grade presentations on allyship, and focusing on putting kindness at the forefront in our interactions throughout our school community. This past Saturday had our FLI students organize and present the 2024 Bev Facey Holiday Market. We are so proud of the incredible amount of work done by our students during this event and the importance and care that they displayed at making it a full service community event, even through the challenges presented by the inclement weather. I continue to be so impressed by our FLI students projects this year as they keep service to their community at the forefront. Facey is so lucky to have this dedicated group of leaders adding to the culture of our school in so many positive ways.
This week marks the start of our Bev Facey Drama productions with Bad Seed playing all week at 7:00 p.m. in our theatre. Our Falcons' Swim team will be also wrapping up their season with the Metro Semi Finals and Finals occurring at the end of the week. Lots of learning and activities between now and the new year!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Ken Wlos
Principal

Bev Facey New Football Locker Room Sponsorship
We are excited to share that we are building a new locker room for our Bev Facey Falcons Football team! With the support of the Strathcona Amateur Football Alumni Association (SAFAA), we are on a mission to raise $C92,000 for the construction of this project. We would be grateful if you could consider making a donation. This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of the Bev Facey Falcons’ Football legacy!
Our current one is outdated and no longer meets the needs of our growing team. A new locker room will provide an inspiring space where our athletes can prepare, bond, and cultivate team spirit. By sponsoring this project, you will not only be associating yourself with a successful and dedicated group of young athletes but also helping us create a new locker room that will significantly enhance their overall experience and environment. Your support will foster team unity, boost morale, and elevate the overall experience for our players and coaches.
