Counselor's Corner
January is all about setting goals, practicing perseverance, and planning for a positive, healthy, and resilient future! Students will learn how to set goals and commit to them through the power of growth mindset. We will explore ways to keep ourselves organized and on track. Students will begin future planning and setting their sights ahead using a positive outlook and high expectations for themselves.
If you need support for your child’s social-emotional needs or could use some resources, please reach out to me at any time. We have an emergency food & clothing bank at Banks, but I can also assist you in getting in touch with more resources if needed—We are a Bobcat Family.
To request assistance or schedule family or one-on-one counseling, please email me or call 520-908-5762.

Holiday Help update for 2024
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Holiday Help program! With your Thanksgiving food donations, we were able to provide Thanksgiving food boxes for 10 families! A shout out goes to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church for donating the turkeys, pies, rolls and potatoes! We are grateful for our loving community.
CHIPP take home meals from Alpha Kappa Alpha
Special thanks to Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority- to which our very own Dr. Laura Banks was a lifelong member. Through their CHIPP program, they provide Banks students with breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for each day of the long school breaks.
Angel Tree & Christmas Giving
We are blessed with very caring staff here at Banks! Our Angel Tree Secret Santa program provided Christmas gifts for 30 children at Banks. Thank you to those staff members who participated. Your kindness warms our school!
Drexel Heights Fire Department generously provided Christmas presents for five Banks families. We are so beyond grateful for our partnership with them.
Tanque Verde Lutheran Church provided Christmas presents and a meal to one family. Special thanks to them!
