Week 5
Good Afternoon,
We’ve had a fantastic start to the school year, and it's time for progress reports! They will be sent out today. After just one month, I am reminded of the privilege it is to serve as the principal of our wonderful parish school. The support from our families and parishioners is exceptional. I truly enjoy the daily interactions with our students and staff. Thank you for reading our newsletters and for your ongoing support and prayers. On behalf of our entire school staff, THANK YOU for making SPN a special place!
Donuts with Grownups
Join us for Mass at 9 a.m. tomorrow, September 12th, followed by Donuts (& Coffee) with Grownups at 10 a.m. in the Family Life Center. We look forward to seeing all our parents and grandparents there! We will also have a special guest from the Catholic Schools Opportunity Fund joining us.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
We raised $350 in donations for St. Vincent de Paul during our out-of-uniform day this week! Food donations continue to come in daily. The middle school houses will weigh in their results at the end of the month, and our elementary classes are in a close race for the most food items donated. As of now, Kindergarten is slightly ahead of 4th grade with a few weeks to go. Thank you to everyone who has donated—your contributions are greatly appreciated and will benefit our local community.
Ignatius Book Fair
Please visit the Ignatius Book Fair this week. The hours of operation are posted below.
Holy Fire Confirmation Retreat
The Holy Fire Confirmation Retreat will take place on Saturday, October 26th, at Rose State. This is a great opportunity for our 6th graders preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. We will register and cover the cost for our 6th graders, but if your 7th or 8th grader would like to attend, you can register them HERE. Please select St. Philip Neri Catholic School as your group during registration.
World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser
We’re excited to participate in the World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser again this year! Look out for permission slips being sent home next week.
Hosting CGSAA Volleyball This Weekend
If you’re interested in earning volunteer hours, we need help in the concession stand this Saturday for CGSAA volleyball games. Sign up HERE to volunteer.
Pray Walk Talk
Pray Walk Talk is on Friday, September 27th. The walk will start earlier this year, so please plan to be on campus by 11 a.m. and check in at the office. This event is for Grades 1-8. Parents and volunteers must be Safe Environment trained and have completed it by Wednesday, September 25th to participate. To sign up, please contact Angie Tomlinson, our Parish Nurse, at parishnurse@stphilipnerimwc.org or call 405-455-2394. Students will be having lunch at the park, so please provide a sack lunch that can be disposed of afterward—no lunch pails or reusable bags, please. Parent volunteers are welcome to bring a lunch. Water will be provided.
Thank you again for your continued support and prayers. Have a nice day!

Corky McMullen
