Dear Christ the King School Families,
Happy Friday, and 100 Days of School!!
This week has been a bit of a challenge with the amount of sicknesses and the snow day. Support is always appreciated when making tough decisions that affect everyone. Again, I am blessed to be a part of this community, and I remember the words of Elisabeth Leseur, “Christ must live in us so that we may give Him to others.”
Due to illness, only the First Graders were able to attend Wednesday’s Holy Mass. Therefore, on behalf of the CKS School Community, I would like to wish Ben and Evie L. a Happy Baptism!! Next week, the Holy Mass will be hosted by the 2nd Graders (please note the change in the Mass schedule).
On another note, if a snow day/school closure occurs, the lunch for the day of return will actually consist of the cancelled day’s lunch per the Abbey Group’s policy. Thus, instead of the French Toast Sticks with Maple Syrup scheduled for today (Friday) Thursday’s lunch, Chicken Alfredo, was served. I apologize for any inconvenience, but I was asked to clarify this program.
St. Valentine’s Day will occur next Friday, the 14th!! I cannot wait to witness the many expressions of gratitude and love!!
Please enjoy the many pictures, and please rest and recharge for the weeks ahead.
As always, please feel free to email, call, or stop by to chat with me at any time.
In Christ,
Kelley Alderman
CKS Principal

CABARET AUCTION: HELP NEEDED
Online Auction
This week over 200 letters went out to potential donors requesting items for the 2025 Cabaret Online Auction. Area businesses get LOTS of requests and they are more likely to respond to these requests when they are also contacted directly by someone they know personally or a customer they see often. Here's where you can help:
The list of potential donors can BE FOUND HERE. Please take a second to check it out and if you see a business you have a personal connection with or frequent often, put your name in the "Volunteer Contacting" column and reach out on behalf of CKS.
For your reference, the letter donors received IS HERE and the donation form IS HERE.
Is there a great business missing from the list? Send Jon Hughes an email at jhughes@cksvt.org with the business name and location/address and he will get a letter out to them and add them to the list.
Cabaret Live Auction
The Cabaret Live auction is a great opportunity to auction off big ticket items. Last year's Live Auction items raised over $5,000! Past items have included Red Sox tickets, art, a week at a family's lake house, an in-home meal prepared by a chef, housing in Spain and Mexico, sports memorabilia, and other great items and experiences. Do you have season tickets and would be willing to offer a game? Does your family have a vacation home that you could offer for a week? Do you have a new idea that you think might be successful? Let Jon Hughes know at jhughes@cksvt.org as soon as you can if you have an item/experience or suggestion to offer!
