Every year, coaches and club sponsors are asked to nominate sophomore and junior students who have demonstrated great leadership skills.

From the nominations, students are selected to be members of the West Suburban Conference Leadership Team. Members of the team attended their first leadership conference back in October and will be attending another one this month. Team members bring back ideas from the conferences and implement them at Leyden.

On December 6th, Student Council hosted its first blood drive of the year. East Leyden collected 28 units of blood and welcomed 16 first-time donors! This was enough blood to save the lives of 84 regional patients. Thank you to all of our Blood Drive donors!

Save the date for the spring Blood Drive taking place on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

The make up dates are January 10th (10:30-3:30) & 21st (2:40-3:30) in the cafeteria. You can order your photos online through hrimaging.com or call 1-815-433-1766. Note: Leyden does not collect your money or take your order. Order forms will be available in the Student Services office in advance of the date as well.

Senior photos will take place Monday, January 13th and Tuesday, January 14th during English AND after school until 3:10pm (in the mezzanine). Pre-order forms will be available in advisory, the cafeteria, and student services from January 7th-10th. You can also order online at hrimaging.com or call 1-815-433-1766.
