Notes from Mr. Branham
Hello, Knight Families!
Welcome to Homecoming Week! The theme for this week is "In My Bonetown Era." Each day will have a dress-up theme leading up to the game on Friday. Check out the list below for more information.
Tomorrow evening we will have our annual Homecoming Parade at 6pm. The parade route will be from the NC Elementary parking lot to the stadium where parade participants will be recognized. The community is invited to join us for this event.
Please remember that Fall Break will be Oct. 7th through 11th, and school offices will be closed. We hope you get some much-needed rest and quality time with your families over the break.
As always, our Knights have Purpose and are Engaged, Empowered, and Equipped for the future.
Have a great week!
Mr. Branham

The event will be held at the Kershaw Campus of Central Carolina Technical College. Be sure to use the Strive Scan QRCode to register for the event. If you have any questions or need more information, please see your counselor or Ms. Oliver, Career Specialist.

Tim Anderson with Attest will be here on Oct. 21st to help you prepare for the upcoming PSAT and SAT this fall. The cost for the session is $25 and even if you have attended before, new concepts and strategies will be discussed. Your attendance for that day will be excused. September Reading Challenge
Hello from the library!
This year, Mrs. Ferrer is hosting a monthly reading challenge to boost the reading culture of our school. Each month there will be a new theme. Students and staff are encouraged to participate. Once you have completed your book for the month, you will be interviewed by Mrs. Ferrer or Mr. Huggins about the book to show that you have read it. You will receive a challenge button and a bookmark as a reward for completing the monthly challenge, and you will be entered into a drawing for a monthly prize.
September's theme is "Series September"; you will need to read the first book in a series to complete the challenge. If you need book recommendations, please stop by the library.
Happy Reading!
BRAVE cards are designed to positively reinforce wanted behaviors in students. A teacher will recognize a student for being respectful, aware, vested and empowered by handing the student a BRAVE card with the teacher's signature on the back. The student will take the card to the front office and place it in the gold hand spinner. Each week, a card will be drawn at random and that student will receive a prize.
Congrats to our August winners!!!
