We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Mariam Edwards as our new front desk receptionist! We know she will be a wonderful addition to our team. Ms. Edwards is also fluent in Spanish, which will be a great asset in supporting our students, families, and staff.

As the first person to greet visitors, answer questions, and keep things running smoothly, her role is essential in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors. While she gets settled and learns the ropes, we appreciate your patience and support. Please join us in making her feel right at home here at Taylor!

Spring Break for all students and staff is April 7–11, and the building will be closed. We hope you enjoy this well-deserved time off, whether you're traveling or simply relaxing at home with family. Wishing you a wonderful and refreshing break!

The Spring Break Reading Challenge starts tomorrow! Enjoy reading some great books and log your minutes, April 5th through April 12th. Participants recieve a free token for our fabulous Book Vending Machine! Happy Reading!

Important Dates & Reminders!

GMAS testing for our 3rd 4th & 5th grade students is right around the corner! 📝 This is an important time for our students to show what they’ve learned, and we want to set them up for success.

🗓️ Testing Dates:

April 21st - April 23rd - Reading

April 28th & 29th - Math

April 30th - Science (5th grade only)

To help your child do their best, please remember:
✅ Be on time – Testing begins promptly at 9:00am each morning. Late arrivals will have to make up tests on another day.
✅ Get plenty of rest – A good night’s sleep helps with focus and stamina.
✅ Eat a healthy breakfast – Fueling up in the morning keeps energy levels up!

Thank you for your support in making testing a smooth and successful experience for all our students!

Have errands to run? Want to grab a kid free dinner? Register today for your child to stay after school on April 18th from 3:45- 5:45 for some fun! After snack time, students will move through stations during their afternoon of fun: a directed painting with Ms. Green, outside play, and a pizza dinner! This is open to Taylor ES students only (no siblings). Pickup must be by 6:00 by an authorized individual (ID will be required). Tickets are limited!

Field Day T-Shirts on Sale Now!

Shirt sales begun! The performance blend shirts are $11.50 each and available for purchase on MyPaymentsPlus.

Cash and Check are also accepted. If sending payment with your student, please be sure to include the order form or clearly write the necessary information on a separate sheet along with the payment. IF you order online via MyPaymentsPlus, you do not need to complete the form.

Each homeroom will be assigned a unique color. The image below provides a sample of what the shirt will look like. The deadline to purchase shirts is April 25th.

More details about activities, events, and volunteer opportunities will be shared after spring break—stay tuned!

Online registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens the week of March 24, 2025. Register early to ensure a smooth start for your child.

Kindergarten Registration event on April 24. Families are encouraged to bring their child to participate in a Kindergarten Readiness Assessment and meet our wonderful administrative team and learn about the transition to Kindergarten.

Before attending, please complete the online registration. If you don’t have access to a device, no worries—you can complete it at the event. We’ll also have a notary available for any necessary documents.

Please remember, our school arrival times have changed a bit. Student arrival begins at 8:15 and the car rider doors close at 8:35 am. Our late bell rings at 8:40 am. If your child will be eating breakfast at school, please arrive in time to eat and return to class by 8:40. Taylor Elementary arrival and dismissal times are listed below.
