ALPINE SKI RESULTS
The Irondale Alpine ski team started off their racing season this week with two conference meets. Tuesday, January 7, was at Wild Mountain and Thursday, January 10, at Afton Alps. Way to go Sarina Haas who placed 26th out of 75 skiers on Tuesday’s meet!
The racing continues next week with Conference meet #3 on Tuesday, January 14, at Wild Mountain. Go Knights!
NORDIC SKI RESULTS
The Irondale Nordic Ski teams are off to a great start, despite the lack of snow! The teams started the season with a strong showing at the Ahvo Holiday Relay Invitational on December 17. The boys relay team of Franklin Doncavage (12), Luke O'Rourke (12), Erik Olson (12) and Finn Rodefeld (12) had a 3rd place finish, while the girls team of Azelle Besemann (11), Josie Kuipers (11), Sophie Stephens (11) and Amelie VanLoon (10) finished 11th.
The teams also competed in an SEC relay on January 2. Top relay teams for the Knights were Azelle Besemann and Sophie Stephens finishing 9th and Addy Granlund (11) and Josie Kuipers were15th. Erik Olson and Finn Rodefeld came in 4th for the boys, with Franklin Doncavage and Luke O'Rourke in 13th.
This past Wednesday the Knights skied in the IMAC Classic. Top racers were Luke O'Rourke with a 6th place finish and Finn Rodefeld in 7th. For the girls Azelle Besemann was 4th, Sophie Stephens was 12th. Congratulations to all of the skiers!
SWIM AND DIVE RESULTS
The Boys Swim and Dive team placed 3rd overall at the Duluth Invitational last weekend. Top 8 Finishers: Henry Botten - 1st place in the 200IM and 2nd place in the 100 breaststroke. Isaac Botten – 5th place in the 200 free and 1st place in the 500 free. Lucas Megahan – 1st place in the 200 free and 1st place in the 100 fly. David Iverson took 5th place in diving. Gannon Willmert – 7th in the 100 fly and 6th in the 100 breaststroke. Kai Nelson – 7th place in the 100 backstroke. Finishing in 2nd place for the 200 Medley Relay (H. Botten, G. Willmert, L. Megahan, I. Botten) and 8th place (K. Nelson, D. Iverson, F. Rosivach, D. Zabrowski). Finishing 2nd in the 200 free relay (I. Botten, S. Reichert, H. Botten, L. Megahan). Finishing in 6th place in the 400 free relay (E. Hartin, G. Willmert, D. Zabrowski, S. Reichert).
On Thursday, January 9, the Knights hosted White Bear Lake and won 98-80. Finishing in 1st place – Lucas Megahan (200IM and 100 backstroke), Henry Botten (50 free and 100 breaststroke), Isaac Botten (100 fly), Finn Rosivach (100 free), the 200 Medley Relay (I. Botten, H. Botten, L. Megahan, G. Willmert), 200 free relay (I. Botten, K. Nelson, H. Botten, L. Megahan).

2025 SENIOR ALL KNIGHT PARTY PLANNING MEETING
SAVE THE DATE - Monday, January 20
All Junior and Senior parents are invited to be a part of the All Knight Party planning for our 2025 Seniors. Our next planning meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 20, at Moe's (2400 Mounds View Blvd, Mounds View), 6:30 p.m. social, 7:00 p.m. meeting. Full dinner menu available for those interested in purchasing their own dinner.
Come meet some friendly volunteers and be a part of this years planning committee, where you can share your talents and skill set to help make this the most memorable Senior celebration ever. Fill an open committee position, share your ideas, or volunteer the night of the Senior All Knight Party celebration. All are welcome. Hope to see you there!
GIRLS ULTIMATE FRISBEE
Calling All Girls - The Ultimate team invites you to join them on Thursday, January 16 from 8:00 to 10:00 PM in the MAC at Mounds View High School. Learn more about Ultimate, meet new friends, get some exercise and have fun. Open to new and experienced players. No commitment necessary. Hope to see you there.

Show your school spirit! Starting this month, our apparel stores will be open year-round. Orders will be processed on the 10th of every month, with delivery approximately 3 weeks from that date. Find your school store and place an order at mvpschools.org/spiritwear.

New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club sincerely appreciates the opportunity to help support one of their projects to collect mobility items for Africa. Among the items they are seeking are:
Crutches
Walkers & Canes
Walking Boots, Prosthetic Legs
Wheelchairs, Knee Scooters
Leg/Knee Braces, Arm Slings
Baby Joggers (not strollers)
Bicycle trailers
Many Rotary Clubs in the Twin City area are working together to collect enough items to fill at least one large storage container filled with these mobility items. Once a container it will be shipped to the African Rotary clubs and distributed to those who desperately need them. If you have any of the above items, they can be dropped off in a bin located in the front commons at Irondale.
