2024-2025 The Year of Hope
Happy New Year!
Dear Aura Caregivers,
Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season with friends and family. Thank you for all of your thoughtful holiday gifts. They truly meant a lot. It was great to welcome the students back in action last week. We certainly all hit the ground running despite the snow and cold temperatures. It was a great start to the 2025 school year.
As we begin this new year, our staff and students have renewed energy and are ready for great accomplishments. The students were excited to return with this energy and are geared up to make tremendous progress in the academics and extra curricular activities. We are all pumped to say the least!
I hope this new year is one of exciting opportunities for your family. Enjoy and make lasting memories.
Yours in leadership,
Dr. Madden

Happy 2025 Aura Families!
Please be mindful and keep sick children home. Refer to the "When to Stay Home Photo"
- Any child who is turning or has turned 11, please be aware vaccine records indicating the Meningococcal and TDAP vaccines have been received AFTER their 11th birthday need to be handed into Nurse Park.
- Please have your child in a winter coat and with proper attire to be ready to participate in outdoor recess. It is cold and windy this time of year, they need to bundle up. If you need assistance with this, please don't hesitate to reach out to myself (ext 532) or Mrs. Stefanie Garofolo (ext. 543), we'd be happy to help!
- Health screenings will begin in January or February. They take a few weeks to complete as I have to work around clinic visits and field trips with each grade as well.
- Scoliosis screenings will be done for 5th graders, but completed last, and a permission slip will be sent home prior.
- Should your child refer for any reason during their health screening, a letter will be sent home indicating a need for further evaluation with their provider. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Science Wizards!
On Tuesday, January 7th, Mrs. Palma and Mrs. Smith, along with other staff members hosted the annual Science Fair for our families. We welcomed several judges from the middle and high school's Science Department at Delsea. They were thoroughly impressed by our students' scientific knowledge. The experiments planned and executed by our students were interesting and unique. Most importantly, our students learned a great deal while exploring the scientific method.

Check out the Dancing Coil!
This was such a cool project. This student researched how the shape of a coil could impact it's rotational speed when powered by a battery.
