Summer Term 2, Week 1
A word from Mr Broom
It's been a wonderfully exciting first week of the Summer Term 2 period, with a whole host of learning opportunities provided for our amazing learners. We welcomed our new Reception 2024 children into school earlier in the week and I took the opportunity to read 'The Smartest Giant in Town' to them. I don't know who enjoyed it the most. Them or myself!
Next week is a busy one. We've phonics screening, the multiplications tables check and the Great Science Share to name just a few. It's also Sports Day on Thursday and hopefully the afternoon will be as successful as ever.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Car Convos!
Talk is really important for all learners in school and we know that our children are exposed to lots of exciting learning opportunities, both at home and at school. To help develop speaking and listening skills and knowledge of the wider world, we're introducing Car Convos! A topic that we share in the newsletter on a Friday, that families can discuss in the car on their travels. We'll then pick this up after the weekend.
This week's Car Convo centres around doing something new.

AGM Outcome
Our PTA met for their Annual General Meeting on Thursday evening and have decided to reform the core committee with roles staying the same until September, when an Extraordinary General Meeting will be called to elect new members. This is so that the accounts can match the financial year to the school year.
The group also discussed lots of exciting experiences they have planned for the remainder of this term and the timetable of activities for the new academic year .
A message from the PTA
We would like to say a massive thank you for all the donations for Bags2School today. With the help of our wonderful parents and the community, the total amount raised was £220.
