Hello Legacy Families!

As always, we have A LOT coming up in the next few weeks that I would like to draw your attention to:

• Monday-Wednesday, 11/18-11/20, WASC
• Friday, 11/22, Fall Festival

If you haven't registered yet for Dino Dash, we hope you will consider registering and selecting Legacy as your school. We are extremely proud of the fact that we have held the title for highest participating secondary school since the year we opened, and we have no plans of letting that trophy go! You can register for the 2K, 5K, 10K, Bike Race, or even purchase a Runnership (a sponsorship for a student in need), ALL of these count towards our registration, and $10 from EACH goes directly back to Legacy. Congratulations to the THS Girls Varisty Tennis Team, and Legacy students Veronika Amy, Julissa Cabrera, and Ryan Nguyen, on their undefeated season, and their first school Tennis League Championship! Next stop, CIF!

During the month of November, Legacy’s Sleep Campaign will be taking place to raise awareness of the importance of sleep for students! From November 1st to the 22nd, we will be having sleep-related seminars, activities, and spirit days for students!

Can we tell you a secret? Get ready for a play like you’ve never seen from Legacy Productions! This fun sci-fi thriller will keep you guessing and wondering what will happen next! Some elements of this show may be scary for younger audiences.

Students have experienced

• Expert-led workshops from founders of innovative startups

• Mentorship from serial entrepreneurs and investors at top-tier VC firms like Pear VC.

Legacy hosted the TPSF Middle School Cross Country Meet on Wednesday. We had the opportunity to host other middle schools within TUSD, and we loved seeing the dedication and hard work of our runners! Legacy runners swept the races, with Maximilian Nguyen in 8th grade, Shion Babai in 7th grade, and Kellen Nguyen in 6th grade winning first place in the boys' bracket. Congratulations to Sydnie Pestarino in 8th grade, Paige Lee in 7th grade, and Elise Esparza in 6th grade all won first place in the girls' bracket.

The winning classes from the Dino Dash Sign Up Competition are Mrs. Kelly (middle school) and Mr. Moe’s 3rd period (high school). This Wednesday, we played in a fun Dino Dash 3-Legged Race lunchtime activity! Help Legacy keep our title by signing up at www.dinosaurdash.net to run, ride, or sponsor!

Red Ribbon Week is next week! LIFE IS A MOVIE, FILM DRUG-FREE. Show your school spirit and commitment to being drug-free by dressing up, taking pictures during lunch, and participating in the costume contest! Make sure to plan your outfits ahead of time so you can show how honored you are to be drug-free!

Join us for a spooktacular evening at Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, 10/30! This event is open to the community so invite your friends and family, wear costumes, and have fun supporting Legacy clubs, who will host activities and give FREE candy!

Seniors! Are you tired of parking in the sun alongside sophomores and juniors? Enter in the drawing to win a shaded parking spot! A new winner will be drawn each month, and your purchases will continue to roll over! Purchase as many tickets as you’d like!

Keep a lookout for mini dino ducks hidden around campus every Wednesday! It’s a fun competition to get excited for Dino Dash! Don’t forget to sign up or sponsor a runner to keep our winning streak.

This month, there is a fundraiser for the Seniors TV, Film, and Digital Media class. Cookies and treats can be shipped home or to the school and will be distributed at the end of the month. Purchase at tinyurl.com/lmafilmfund

Serve up the fun at the Pickleball Club Tournament! The Pickleball Club is hosting a month-long tournament from now until October 28th. Bring your friends to watch or compete in this fun tournament.

Next Monday is our first TIDEpool Tutoring session. This is a time for Middle School students to receive help from their High School mentors. It will take place in Mr. Maduenos' room every Monday during point break.
