Reynolds' Report
Hello Roadrunner Families!
I hope you had a lovely week full of family, joy, and tasty food. I spent my week resting, painting my bathroom, and enjoying close friends.
Speaking of tasty food, did you know that we have a resource in our district called The Hub? It is located at Lincoln High School. The Hub is a place to connect families and students with essential resources, services, and programs designed to support whole-child development and family well-being.
These services include:
- Shelf Stable Food
- Produce & Local Food Distributions
- Backpacks & School Supplies
- Hygiene Kits
- College & Career support
- Referrals to County and Local Services
It is our goal to ensure that every family on our campus has what they need to send their kiddos to school happy and ready to learn. Can't make it over to the Hub? Give us a call and we can help facilitate getting items to you here at First Street School! You can contact our front office at 916-645-6330 or our Family Liaison at 916-937-2448 to talk about connecting you to resources.
We're happy to have your kiddos back this week. Remember that the doors for breakfast open at 7:30am, and school starts for TK and Kinder at 8:00am and 1st-5th graders start at 8:15am. We'll see your Roadrunners tomorrow!
Have a super week, Roadrunners!

First Street School PTO Updates
November PTO Update
Hello fabulous roadrunner families,
The PTO would like to thank you for all of your help thus far in the 2024 school year! You have made cakes, brought trick or treat candy, helped with the BEEP store, raised funds by selling your hearts out, and so much more. So far this year, we have already held two fundraisers (The Harvest Festival and Cookie Dough/Believe Kids), hosted two events (The Harvest Festival, Family Science Night), had two BEEP stores and have offered classroom enrichment stipends to our amazing staff members. None of this would be possible without your help!
Here are some PTO updates for you all!
REMIND APP
Want to get involved? We have a text app called Remind where our last minute communications go through. You can join that HERE. You are always welcome and encouraged to be a part of our campus. Not to mention, the kids love seeing new faces!
BEEP Cart
We have our next BEEP Cart November 15th and we would love your help! The cart will be loaded for you and you will have a schedule to go from class to class. You can find the schedule to sign up HERE.

HOLIDAY SHOPPE
Our Holiday Shoppe will be BACK this year during the first two weeks of December! Be on the lookout for a signup genius as this event takes LOTS of collaboration to come together. The students absolutely love this event!

Box Tops for Education
Box Tops for Education
Box Tops collection continues digitally all year with the Box Tops app. First Street School gets $0.10 for each Box Top scanned for our school. While that isn't much on its own, the whole school community collecting them from Participating Products throughout the year can earn enough to pay for things like software memberships, supplies for classroom activities, or other low cost school support.
- Earn Box Tops for participating products by scanning receipts with the Box Tops app.
- When you shop online or use delivery services, you can earn Box Tops by forwarding your e-receipt to receipts@boxtops4education.com or by uploading it with the Box Tops app. Learn more about submitting e-receipts here.

Updated COVID Protocols
Student Quarantine:
Effective this year, California Department of Public Health has replaced most of the requirements about student quarantine with recommendations. The one remaining requirement is that students who are ill must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the aide of fever-reducing medications before they are able to return to school. Please see the documents below for more detailed information.
