Attendance and Detention - Important Updates
CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM
The State Law classifies students who miss more than 17 days total in a school year as Chronic Absent Students (or more than 10%). Do not allow your student to reach this number of absences as it will result in being dismissed back to their school of residence. EBCA is the best place for our students, we DO NOT want to start dismissing students. Parents, please do your part and get them to school on time, everyday.
Chronic Absent students absent 10% or more will not be allowed to participate in afterschool extra-curricular sports or class field trips. Example) In the first 10 days of school, any child missing more than 1 day of school is considered to be a chronic absent student.
TARDIES = DETENTION
Students that are tardy will be given a 24-hour notice to serve detention from 3:15 - 3:45 PM.
On Friday, August 23rd, our school celebrated having GREAT attendance rates during the first week! Let's keep up the great work on getting our students here on time, every day. Attendance matters!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call our school.
