Curriculum Night for Parents/Guardians
- Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade: Tuesday, Sept. 10th 6:30-7:30
- 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade: Wednesday, Sept. 11th 6:30-7:30
Our teachers are excited to welcome all parents/guardians into the school and classrooms so that you can learn more about what will take place in your child's grade level and classroom this school year. Each teacher or grade level team will have two rounds of their presentation. This will allow you to visit multiple classrooms if you have children in different grades.
Presentation A: 6:30-6:55
Presentation B: 7:00-7:25
Be sure to arrive at a time that allows you to engage in one or the other presentation.
The presentations are designed for parents/guardians. We would encourage you to use any childcare at home; however, please don't let that stop you from coming. We will have staff-supervised play and crafts available in the gym and half of the cafeteria.
See you all next week!

Anderson Sunshine Fund - Lemonade Stands
**Families Helping Families: Building a Community of Kindness**
At Anderson School, we've witnessed something truly special: families helping families, neighbors supporting one another, and adults teaching children the value of generosity. These acts of kindness are what make our Anderson community so unique. Now, we have a chance to add a little extra "sweetness" to our Sunshine Fund.
**What is the Sunshine Fund?**
The Sunshine Fund is a lifeline for Anderson families in need. Whether it's providing a child with new shoes, school supplies, or winter essentials like coats, gloves, and hats, this fund makes a tangible difference. It also helps families who have recently welcomed foster children into their homes, offering support with necessities like sheets, towels, clothing, and toiletries. The Sunshine Fund is all about the Anderson community coming together to lift one another up.
**How Can You Contribute?**
There are a couple of easy and fun ways to get involved:
1. **Donate via Pushcoin:** Click Here to contribute directly to the Sunshine Fund through a Pushcoin link. (Checks can also be made out to CUSD 303 and add Anderson Sunshine Fund on the memo line.)
2. **Host a Lemonade Stand:** Get the kids involved by setting up a lemonade stand in your neighborhood. Click here to sign up and receive a free lemonade stand kit, generously donated by local organizations and ministries. The kit includes a lemonade mix, cups, a pitcher, a stirring stick, and a customizable poster. Imagine every street corner filled with lemonade stands, each one contributing to the Anderson Community Sunshine Fund.
Lemonade Stand Kits can be picked up at this week's curriculum night events. They will be available in the front lobby.
Together, we can continue to build a community where kindness flourishes and families support one another.
KICK-A-THON is a local event that began over 30 years ago as an effort from the St. Charles High School Dance Team to raise money to help kick cancer. It has grown to include East and North High School Dance Teams and other amazing charities. This charity event will benefit the Fox Valley Food for Health, Colette A. Miles Foundation, and the high school dance teams. To date, we have raised over a million dollars and need your help to keep that number growing. Please join the St. Charles High School Dance Teams as we raise money to kick cancer.
This year’s event will take place on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at St. Charles North High School, prior to the start of the varsity football game between St. Charles North and St. Charles East. Local community members who help with fundraising will form a kick line alongside the dance team members and kick 100 times in an effort to raise money for these charities.

Anderson School Family Directory 2024-2025
The purpose of this Google Form is to help Anderson School families connect by collecting and organizing contact information that you may want to share with other families. We often receive requests from parents looking to connect with others in their child's class for organizing playdates, planning birthday parties, or sending thank you notes.
Please take a moment to fill out the questions below. You can share as much or as little information as you're comfortable with. The details you provide will be compiled into a view-only spreadsheet that will be accessible to all Anderson School families.

Andy's Back!
Our therapy dog Andy Agador Spartacus, a certified therapy dog from Pet Partners, along with his wonderful handler, Janine had their first visit to Anderson on Friday September 6th!
Andy and Janine will be hanging out in our LRC for teachers and students to visit on Fridays. Students will have the delightful opportunity to spend time with Andy in a cozy reading corner, where they can snuggle up with a good book and share the joy of reading with their furry friend.
We're hoping to create a warm and inviting environment where as many students as possible can connect and engage with Andy over the coming months. However, we understand that some families may have concerns, such as allergies. If you prefer your child not to have any interaction with Andy, please email Mr. Jarot at nathan.jarot@d303.org.
This site is new this school year and has a lot of helpful information to stay connected with all things Anderson PTO.
