The Weekly Update #14
April 5, 2024
Our Busy Class 📚
HI STUDENTS AND LEARNING COACHES!
Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing break. This week, was a little chaotic. I was out on Monday, but we picked up where we left off in our second portfolio. We also picked a second book for your novel project. Here are a few more announcements to keep in mind for next week:
Important Announcements:
Testing Begins This Week: Make sure you know when and where your testing will take place.
Live Lesson Schedule during Testing: State testing will be happening throughout April. Even if you're not testing on a particular day, some of your classmates will be. If you're testing, you won't attend Live Lessons. Don't worry, I'll have recordings and Nearpods available for you to catch up on any missed lessons. And remember, I'm always here for you if you need help or want to schedule a 1:1 session.
April 9-10 Live Lesson: I'll be proctoring state testing in St. George on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Instead of Live Lesson, you'll have a student-paced Nearpod to complete. It will cover the material we would have gone over in class.
Zoom Background Contest: Get creative for our Zoom background contest on Monday, April 8th. Fill out the form and send your background to Ms. Shimmin for approval if you want to participate.
Celebrations from the Week:
- We're entering the final quarter! Keep pushing forward and staying on track with your lessons. You've got this!
Thank you for your dedication and hard work, students. Your commitment to your education is truly commendable.
