Assalamu alaikum respected parents,
I pray Ramadan is going well in sha Allah. Last Sunday our PSG (Parent Support Group) volunteers led the "Welcome Ramadan Event" during lunch/recess where students enjoyed participating in various Ramadan related activities (decorating paper lanterns, beading tasbeeh's and stuffing dates etc) and also received goody bags. We extend special thanks to our amazing PSG members who dedicated their time and efforts in organizing and planning this fun event for our students ma sha Allah. As promised, I have included LOTS of pictures for parents to enjoy in the Photo Gallery Section below. Also, I am including a short VIDEO covering the event. in May Allah SWT accept and reward everyone's efforts, Ameen.
MORNING ASSEMBLY: On Sunday (3/10), our morning assembly was led by Sr Eman Enaya who talked to students about the importance of Ramadan and shared tips on what students can do to get the most benefit out of this blessed month in sha Allah. She discussed how fasting helps us to gain taqwa, get closer to Allah SWT, practice gratitude, develop self restraint, patience and gain a sense of unity in sha Allah. She encouraged students to try to make the most of this blessed month and earn good deeds by reading quran, doing thikr, duaa, sadqa and practicing good manners. See FLYER for additional details.
We also held our Raffle last Sunday where Imam Azfar pulled student names from our "Race to Jannah" coupon jar and announced the winners for prizes. We had one big prize (Bike) that was graciously gifted by Imam Azfar (jazakAllah Khair), won by Ateeb Syed, and a few small prizes won by Amna Syeda, Zaviyar Feroze, Humaira Khan and Dhanak Awais. For all the remaining students who had put their "Race to Jannah" coupons in the jar and did not win a prize in the Raffle, will be able to pick small prizes from the office prize box in sha Allah.
