The Jordan Valley Dental bus will be on campus December 3rd and December 5th. If you have questions regarding Jordan Valley Mobile Care Unit, please call the elementary office at 417-546-6381.
Winter Weather
It can be pretty chilly for those early morning recess times. Please make sure your child brings a coat to school each day. As long as the temperature is 32 degrees or above, the kids will go outside.
12 Days of Reading Challenge
Mrs. Storment has planned 12 days of reading challenge. This is a fun way to get students involved in reading for fun. Please encourage your child to participate. Click on the link below to view the challenge.
AMI Packet & Snow Days
It is that time of year where we could have inclement weather. You will receive a phone call from the school if we are not in session and it will also be listed on KY3 under school closings. You should have received an AMI packet from your child's teacher at parent teacher conferences. Please locate your packet in the event that we miss school due to inclement weather. The work must be completed to count your child's attendance. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any further questions.
Attendance Matters
Once your child returns in January, the school year will be about half over. This is a great time to review the first part of the year and make plans for the next. Looking at your child’s school attendance should be part of this important process. Did your child attend school every day unless he/she was sick or there was a family emergency? If so, congratulations! Let him/her know you’re proud of his/her strong attendance. Help him/her keep up the good work for the rest of the year and beyond. Strong attendance is one predictor of success in school.
If not:
- Remind your child that regular school attendance is a priority.
- Emphasize the need for rest, nutrition and exercise to stay healthy and stay in school.
- Consider the reasons you take your child out of school. Can you make some appointments outside school hours?
