As we gather with loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each member of our school community. Your dedication, hard work, and support are the reason we succeed together.
This holiday reminds us of the importance of community and the power of unity in achieving our goals. I am truly thankful for the diverse talents and perspectives that each of you bring to our schools, enriching the learning environment for everyone.

3 SJHS Choir Students competed at MSVMA Musical Theater Solo & Ensemble, performing 2 pieces each. With perfect scores across the board, seniors Miranda Bourne, Sylvia Bunn, and Gabe D’Valentine will be going on to audition for the All-State Musical Theater Ensemble. Congratulations to these amazing Student-Performers!

Ava Schafer Wins D2 Girls Cross Country State Championship!
Congratulations to Redwing Ava Schafer for achieving her second State Championship (She is also the defending 3200 meter Track and Field State Champion)! Just a week later, Ava surpassed her own school record by winning at the MITCA (Michigan Meet of Champions)! Congratulations also to the Redwing Cross Country Team for their impressive performance at the State Finals held at Michigan International Speedway.

Varsity Football Finishes 6-4, Advanced to Playoffs for the First Time Since 2019
Although they lost in the first round (to an undefeated DeWitt team), Coach Schmitt remarked, “We had a great year this year! A group of hard working, coachable, and tough kids! These young men reset the standard and expectations for this program moving forward. These are great building blocks for the future, and I want to thank them for their efforts and dedication to the football program!”

The Redwings fought hard, but ultimately fell to Fruitport 3 sets to 1 in the Regional Finals on 10/14. They defeated Fremont 3 sets to 1 to advance to the finals. Great Season Redwings!
