Locker Distribution
This Tuesday, August 28, we will be distributing lockers to any students who have pre-purchased a locker. If you have not pre-purchased a locker, but would like to do so, you may purchase them via Rycor in the Parent Portal.
Students should have a general idea of where they would like their locker to be prior to Tuesday morning to make the process run as smoothly as possible!

NWEA Testing
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to inform you about the upcoming NWEA testing for our students at Cypress Creek Middle School. The tests will be conducted next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, covering Science, Algebra, and Geometry.
What is NWEA Testing?
The NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) test is an adaptive assessment designed to measure your child’s academic growth and proficiency in various subjects. Unlike traditional tests, the NWEA MAP test adjusts its difficulty based on the student’s responses, providing a personalized and accurate measure of their abilities. This helps teachers identify each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, allowing for more targeted and effective instruction.
Testing Schedule:
- Monday: Science 6th grade, Algebra 7th and 8th and Geometry 8thgrade
- Tuesday: Makeups: Science 6th grade, Algebra 7th and 8th and Geometry 8th grade
- Wednesday: Makeups: Science 6th grade, Algebra 7th and 8th and Geometry 8th grade
We kindly ask that you ensure your child is well-rested and has a nutritious breakfast on these days to help them perform their best. Additionally, please remind your child to bring any necessary materials, such as pencils and a calculator, if required.
Thank you for your continued support in your child’s education. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Student ID Badges
The use of badges will be used to enter and exit the bus will expedite the loading and unloading of buses at school and at bus stops. While students that forget their badges may use the keypad, it does slow the process of entering and exiting the bus. Any student in Pasco County Schools may now download a virtual badge to their phone, further instructions are attached below.
Specifically, secondary schools will print badges upon request by the student, including replacement badges. This means that not every secondary student will have a badge.
Where's the Bus?
Based on either badges, virtual badges on phones, and/or entering of student's ID numbers, Pasco County Schools is happy to announce the return of the "Where's the Bus" feature. See the flyer and information below for more details.
