AMI Work! In the event that we cannot have school due to weather events (like flooding this week, or snow during the winter months), teachers have given the students assignments to bring home in an envelope. These assignments will be the focus if/when we have AMI Days (alternative methods of instruction). We can use 5 days of AMI a school year.
We held a 1st Quarter Awards assembly to recognize our students who excelled in the classroom, had great school attendance, completed Exact Path, met their AR Goals, and displayed great character! We recognized 111 students who made the Honor Roll for 1st Quarter (GPA of 3.00-4.00) Congratulations to our students for all that they accomplished over the course of the 1st Quarter!
The Elks Hoop Shoot is coming up (Nov 18th in the Middle School Gym @ 6:00pm). The hoop shoot is for children ages 8-13. Their age is determined by their age on April 1st, 2025. (See Flyer below for more info)
Our school district laundry fundraiser is LIVE! The goal is to have the forms back by November 19th! We are hoping to have the order pick up before Christmas! Thank you to the PTO for organizing this fundraiser! We appreciate you! You can find the order form here.
Dashing Through December! The month of December we will be celebrating the Holidays! (See the calendar below)
Here is a link to the school district calendar for the year. We have many fall activities coming up!
Our students have completed Exact Path diagnostic testing. They assessed on English/Language Arts/Reading & Math. They now focus on individual learning paths based on their own levels of mastery. The Exact Path program assigns them lessons and activities based on their individual levels on mastery. Each students should complete 14 competencies in English/Reading & Math over the course of the 1st semester. Have your students login at home and show you where they are on their grade level lessons and activities. (Edmentum Exact Path)
RTI teachers run missing assignment reports for their students. This process is a focus weekly. The students receive a weekly reward for NO missing assignments! Parents/Guardians can login at any time to see grades & assignments.
If any students have two or more failing grades we will have family discussions, and/or communication. Coaches are also running reports and keep track of their athletes. If any student-athletes have two or more failing grades they are not eligible to participate in contests. (See Student Handbook/MSHSSA regulations)
We were able to have our gym floor refinished this summer. Please be advised that we have developed policy around using our new gym floor. No food or drink is allowed in the gym. Students should wear non-marking sole tennis shoes on the floor. This policy is posted in the gym, and will be discussed with our students. Clothes worn in PE need to follow the school dress code. You can find the dress code policy in the handbook.
Middle School sports have begun. (See sports schedules below)
Please view the Spectator/Fan Policy here.

One of our focuses this year is on Student Attendance. We are aiming for 95% or higher. We will be giving out attendance rewards over the course of the school year!

Character Word of the Month...............Citizenship (November)
November: Citizenship
We are all citizens – citizens of our country, our community, and our schools. However, what does it mean to be a good citizen? How can you show others you devote yourself to the development of these different areas? You can be a good neighbor. Take care of where you live and be proud of what you have. Obey rules – both in school and out of school! Find opportunities to take part in to make your community better. Protect the environment. Clean up and recycle. Demonstrate good sportsmanship and make others feel valued for their accomplishments. Stay positive. Everywhere we go, we have the opportunity to make a difference.
Are you doing things that make others think about how you are making a positive difference?
