We hope you are embracing the spring season and all the bright, joyful things that come with it!

I challenge you all this month to talk with your students about what they couldn't do at the beginning of the year and are now successful with; then also talk about what they haven't accomplished YET! Help them set goals and reorganize their plans to get there. We have plenty of school year left for our amazing Scotties to reach those goals and show their highest potential! Focus our directions and thoughts on what our kiddos CAN do and what they WILL do. Remember, they just haven't learned it YET.

Looking Ahead

For all new to Mahaffey (for the 2024-2025 School Year) incoming PreK and Kindergarten students. If you are currently attending Mahaffey as a PK student, you are already set for next year.

Date: April 2, 2024

Place: Mahaffey Cafeteria

Time: 4:30-6:30 PM, come and go event

Documents required for enrollment:

Birth Certificate

Student Social Security card – preferred.

Student Immunization Record

Proof of Residence in Mahaffey School Zone (current gas, electric or water bill in parent/guardian name)

Copy of parent’s ID’s

What to do before the event: please complete the ONLINE enrollment process prior to attending the event here and follow instructions for new student enrollment. The required documents can be brought to the school to be copied, or you can upload them while registering your child on-line.

Auditions will be on MONDAY May 13, 2024 with our panel of judges!

Live show will be on Friday May 24!

Both the auditions and performance will be during the school day. Students may sign up to audition for no more than 2 student lead acts, one must be a group performance. Performance times are limited to 3 minutes or less.

Students will be notified by FRIDAY May 17,2024 if they are selected to be in the show.

Talent Show Auditions

Las audiciones se llevarán a cabo el 13 de mayo de 2024. Habrá un panel de jueces y el show de talentos se llevará a cabo el 26 de mayo. Tanto las audiciones como la presentación serán durante el día escolar. Los estudiantes pueden inscribirse para una audición o participar en 2 actos, pero uno debe ser una actuación grupal. Los estudiantes serán notificados antes del viernes, 17 de mayo de 2024. Cualquier pregunta puede ser dirigida a Lisa Kelley lkelley1@kleinisd.net.
