Happy New Year!

Dear Lind-Ritzville Middle School Families,

Happy New Year and welcome back! I trust that you all had a refreshing break, and we are thrilled to continue our journey together in 2025. As always, our guiding theme is: Lead by example, Relentlessly Motivated, which all leads to Success. This theme embodies our shared commitment to fostering a supportive, engaging, and successful learning environment for every student.

As part of our ongoing efforts to track and celebrate student progress, we will be conducting winter testing in reading and mathematics, through I-Ready, in early January. This will allow students to demonstrate the growth and understanding they have developed since the start of the school year. These assessments are a vital part of our mastery-based learning approach, emphasizing continuous improvement and academic excellence.

Please note that the semester will conclude on January 15th. We encourage all students to focus on finishing strong and to take full advantage of the support and resources available to them. Starting January 16th, students will transition to their semester two schedules, which will bring fresh opportunities for learning and growth.

For those interested in adjusting their elective courses, schedule change forms will be available from January 13th through January 17th. These changes will be approved on a first-come, first-serve basis until classes reach their capacity, so timely submissions are encouraged.

In our ongoing effort to promote a more inclusive and accepting culture, students may notice slight adjustments to their schedules as we reshuffle classes for the semester switch. This is part of our goal to keep the learning environment fresh and to ensure that every student feels welcomed and connected, fostering a community where everyone has the chance to get to know one another.
